Messenger and Instagram introduce Star Wars and Selena: The Stories a new chat theme to let you personalize your chat experience. The new Star Wars chat theme looks deep dark while Selena’s chat theme looks purple bloom.
To activate these two new themes, open your Messenger or Instagram and select any chat thread, and tap to user profile then you will see the Theme menu tap on it, and select any theme of your choice, on Instagram tap the Messenger icon from the top right corner and select any thread, and then tap on “i” button for more there you will see the Theme menu, now tap on it and select any theme as you like.

Messenger also introduces new camera stickers on Messenger and Messenger Kids, which helps you support and raise awareness of the Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) community. Kids can explore the richness and diversity of unique traditions, histories, and cultures across Asian and Pacific Islander countries through a series of Messenger Kids camera stickers.

The company also introduces a new visual reply in Instagram DMs on iOS to content with another photo or video of your choice. It will be soon available on Android, the company said. To use this visual reply in Instagram DMs, tap the camera icon to respond with a photo or video of your own.

Another feature introduced for Messenger called tap-to-record lets you record your chat in the voice format without holding the mic button. This tap-to-record is also coming to Instagram soon.

Now you have the ability to see if your friends have seen your messages or not with the inbox seen states feature on Instagram.
In Messenger, you can now easily archive any chat with a swipe to archive feature instead of permanently deleting it, which means you can access archive chats in the future whenever you want.
