Fasten your seatbelts! Messenger and Facebook have teamed up with Universal Pictures to create a digital experience for fans of the Fast & Furious franchise in honor of the franchise’s 20th anniversary and the forthcoming cinema release of F9 on June 25th, 2021.

“We are excited to partner with Universal and Messenger to build a first-of-its-kind, immersive experience for fans of this beloved franchise,” said Nicky Bell VP, Global Head of Facebook Creative Shop. “We know people are craving more content and connection as they watch their favorite movies so Movie Mate is their answer—and a great innovation in the future of film-watching.”Click here to change this text. Fans may start using Movie Mate, a first-of-its-kind “second screen” conversation experience for Messenger that includes a personalized 360-degree background and chats theme, starting today (also available on Instagram).

For each of the Fast Saga flicks, Movie-Mate is available. It provides real-time answers to moviegoers’ pressing questions and never-before-seen photographs and footage while they’re watching their favorite Fast Saga films.

Movie Mate is excellent for both new fans and super fans because it has a choose-your-own-adventure setting. When you first start the chat, you’ll be asked about your level of fandom so that your experience is tailored to your level of knowledge.

To start chatting with Movie Mate, go to the Fast & Furious Facebook page and click the Messenger icon. Check out Messenger’s new F9 art suite, which allows you to connect with your friends and discuss your favorite Fast & Furious moments.

With our custom 360-degree background and dynamic conversation theme, which is now accessible on Instagram, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of a street racing.

Simply make a video call or create a Room from Messenger or Facebook to get the Fast & Furious 360-degree background. On your self-view, tap the effects icon, then choose “backgrounds.”

To discover the Fast and Furious chat theme, open a Messenger thread and press on the top bar to enter the settings, then select “theme” from the drop-down menu.

Open a chat thread on Instagram and tap the information button in the top right corner of your screen to activate this chat theme. You may choose the Fast and Furious conversation theme by going to the chat settings and clicking the “Theme” button.
