If the debut teaser for the Marvel character’s show is any indication, Moon Knight is already the MCU’s darkest and most somber character.
Moon Knight’s official trailer debuted during an NFL playoff game on ABC on Monday night, giving fans the finest look yet at Oscar Isaac as a dual personality and our first look at Ethan Hawke as the series’ villain. The sitcom will premiere on Disney Plus on March 30th, according to the trailer.
According to Marvel’s synopsis, “The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”
Doug Moench (Harley Quinn, Young Justice) created and wrote Moon Knight, which is directed by Mohamed Diab (Amira). The first season of the show will consist of six episodes that will be released weekly on Disney Plus.
Moon Knight isn’t the only Marvel show set to premiere on Netflix in 2022. She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Secret Invasion will all be available on Disney Plus, as well as the I Am Groot series and the second season of What If…? Ms. Marvel is expected to premiere in the summer of 2022, however, Marvel has yet to confirm an exact release date for any of their 2022 shows.
