Kohler, the Wisconsin-based fixtures giant, unveiled its most advanced bidet seat yet at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week. Dubbed the “PureWash E930,” Kohler’s new $2,149 smart bidet seat allows users to control various features simply by speaking to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
The E930’s voice control capabilities allow users to activate the adjustable-pressure bidet spray, heated seat, air dryer, and UV sanitization by voice. Kohler’s “Konnect” app syncs with Alexa and Google Home to enable these hands-free commands and custom presets. Users can also activate various spray modes, including a soft “child mode” and high-pressure “boost mode” by speaking to their smart speaker.
In addition to voice activation, the E930 bidet provides options more commonly found in high-end smart toilets, despite its bidet-seat-only format. Users can activate an oscillating or pulsating bidet spray, while an integrated nightlight offers a comforting glow. The slim, low-profile design aims for easy integration with most standard toilets.
Kohler also teased more voice-activated bathroom products for launch later this year, including smart fans and expanded shower systems. With smart home tech expanding beyond the living room into the most private rooms, Kohler aims to bring five-star hotel luxury into the humblest home bathroom. Judging by the reception at CES, smart bidet seats may be the first step towards the bathrooms of the future.
