According to reports, Apple‘s Vice President of Technology, Kevin Lynch (Kevin M. Lynch), who is best known for his work on the Apple Watch with an emphasis on health, has been assigned to the Apple Car team. Lynch will focus on Apple Car development in addition to his present role as vice president of technology for Apple Watch, according to various sources.
Apple also named John Giannandrea, the company’s head of AI and machine learning, to supervise the Apple car project last year. According to reports, the Apple Car project is still on hold owing to leadership difficulties. In the Apple Watch and Apple health teams, Evan Doll, Apple’s director of health software engineering, will replace Lynch.
Apple is currently researching components, consulting with suppliers, and arranging deals with manufacturing partners for the Apple Car, which demands more hands-on assistance from experienced Apple executives. Apple Car is still in the early stages of development, according to various sources, with a finished self-driving vehicle scheduled between 2025 and 2028.
