Today’s tweet from @EAMaddenNFL clearly shows that the former Raiders coach Jon Gruden has been removed from the Madden NFL 22 an planning to be replaced with a generic character. Once the change will occur within the next weeks and will roll out automatically in a title update.

Madden NFL 22 is the legendary American football series that was launched on August 20th, 2021, on PS5, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Google Stadia platforms.

Reportedly, Jon Gruden resigned from his position as Raider head coach on Monday, October 11th. By removing him from Madden NFL 22, EA Sports said, “EA Sports is committed to taking action in maintaining a culture of inclusion and equity. Due to the circumstance of Jon Gruden’s resignation, we are taking steps to remove him from Madden NFL 22. We will replace him with a generic likeness via a title update in the coming.”
