JBL is turning its PartyBox lineup up another notch with the PartyBox Ultimate 2, a new flagship party speaker with 1,500 watts of output, a built-in touchscreen, upgraded lighting, and AI-powered karaoke features.
JBL says the PartyBox Ultimate 2 delivers more than 36% more power than the previous-generation PartyBox Ultimate. It is designed for large indoor and outdoor gatherings, combining dual 10-inch woofers, dual 5-inch midrange drivers, dual PEN tweeters with acoustic horns, and dual bass ports in a single speaker.
The PartyBox Ultimate 2 will be available starting October 6, 2026, through the JBL website and selected retailers. JBL lists an advised retail price of £1,399.99 in the UK and €1,599.99 in Europe. The company has not announced US pricing in its current launch announcement.
JBL PartyBox Ultimate 2 packs 1,500W of sound
The biggest number attached to the PartyBox Ultimate 2 is its 1,500W output. JBL says that’s more than 36% higher than the previous generation.
The speaker uses a new acoustic configuration with dual PEN tweeters paired with acoustic horns, dual 5-inch midrange drivers, dual 10-inch woofers, and dual bass ports. JBL says the setup is designed to deliver deeper bass, richer vocals, a wider soundstage, and more detail across the frequency range.
JBL’s AI Sound Boost technology continuously analyzes audio in real time and adjusts the speaker’s performance to maintain powerful sound with low distortion, including at high volume levels.
And yes, this is very much a speaker designed to be noticed.
The PartyBox Ultimate 2 has a built-in touchscreen
The most obvious new feature is right on top of the speaker.

The PartyBox Ultimate 2 is the first PartyBox speaker with an integrated touchscreen. Its volume dial doubles as a touchscreen controller, providing access to music, lighting, and other settings without requiring a phone.
The display can also show the currently playing song and active light show. JBL has added built-in EasySing AI Vocal Removal, which can turn songs into karaoke-ready tracks, along with a selection of party games.
A bigger light show, including floor projection
JBL isn’t stopping at louder audio. The PartyBox Ultimate 2 also gets a revamped PartyBox light show.
It combines dynamic ripple effects across the front panel with multilayer lighting designed to create more depth and motion. JBL has also added a floor projection effect that extends the light show beyond the speaker itself.
The lighting can be controlled from the speaker’s touchscreen or through the JBL One app.
Wi-Fi 6, AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Auracast
The PartyBox Ultimate 2 has a much broader connectivity package than a basic Bluetooth party speaker.
It supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect. JBL also includes an optical input for TV karaoke setups, an XLR line-in for DJ equipment, and lossless USB-C audio playback.
Auracast can also be used to connect the PartyBox Ultimate 2 with other compatible JBL speakers for a larger multi-speaker setup.
Built for karaoke and parties
Karaoke is a major part of the PartyBox Ultimate 2’s feature set.
Its built-in EasySing AI Vocal Removal can remove vocals from songs to create karaoke-ready tracks, and the speaker works with JBL EasySing microphones. The optical input can also be used for TV-based karaoke setups.
The integrated touchscreen puts these party features directly on the speaker, while the JBL One app provides additional control over lighting, features, and settings.
Larger wheels make the 1,500W speaker easier to move
Despite the size and power, JBL has designed the PartyBox Ultimate 2 to be moved around.
The speaker has larger, sturdier wheels and an ergonomic handle. It also has an IPX4 splashproof design, which protects it against splashing liquids but does not make the speaker waterproof. JBL says the speaker is also made with recycled materials.
JBL PartyBox Ultimate 2 price and availability
The JBL PartyBox Ultimate 2 will go on sale October 6, 2026, through the JBL website and selected retailers.
JBL has announced an advised retail price of £1,399.99 in the UK and €1,599.99 in Europe. A US price has not been announced in the company’s current launch information.
With 1,500W of output, a touchscreen controller, AI-powered vocal removal, Wi-Fi 6, Auracast, and a floor-filling light show, the PartyBox Ultimate 2 is positioned as JBL’s new flagship party speaker—and it’s clearly designed for occasions where a regular Bluetooth speaker simply isn’t going to cut it.
