Reddit, the social community platform, has appointed Jannik Hülshoff as its first Market Director for Germany. He will drive growth operations in the German market in this new position, with a goal of improving Reddit communities, supporting user growth, developing strategic industry collaborations, and developing promotional strategies in our first non-English speaking region.

Prior to joining Reddit, Jannik was the Senior Director of Partnerships for Central Europe and the CIS at Twitch, where he handled the content acquisition and licensing teams. He began his advertising career in Ireland with Google and YouTube before going to San Francisco with the company as a Digital Brand Marketing Consultant, where he managed connections with global companies such as Nike and Mattel.

Jannik also helped the German public broadcaster “ZDF” digitize its content by creating an innovation hub.

We’re so excited to have Jannik on our team. He brings experience growing global brands and consumers in the German market. Having Jannik on our team will enable us to accelerate our growth via building local marketing and partnership programs, growing local communities, and supporting our growing team in Germany.

Roxy Young, the Chief Marketing Officer at Reddit

Reddit’s core mission is to empower communities and this is a shared value that I’ve held throughout my career. I’m amazed at how communities create, exchange, and share their passion with one another. I’m excited to continue building Reddit’s business in Germany by showcasing its unique value proposition for partners, and helping Germans find their home on the platform.
