Let’s be honest — no one enjoys pushing around a vacuum or mop. We’re living in the future, and it’s about time our cleaning routine caught up. That’s where iRobot’s latest innovation comes into play. They’ve just dropped the curtain on the J9+ line of robotic vacuums, the highly-anticipated successor to the J7+. They’ve also unveiled some budget-friendly options for those who want a slice of the robo-vac action.

The J9+ series offers two flavors: the classic vacuum-only J9+ and the all-singing, all-dancing Roomba Combo J9+ that not only vacuums but mops too. What sets the Combo J9+ apart is its redesigned fill dock. This little genius not only empties the debris bin but also tops up the mop’s water tank. Means less manual work for you and more time to binge-watch Netflix.

These bots are packing more power than ever before. With a revamped motor that’s ready to tackle dirt, pet fur, and debris like a pro, the J9+ series features a four-stage cleaning system that ensures no dirt goes unnoticed. And let’s not forget those dual rubber brushes — not only do they crank up the suction power, but they can also scrub away stubborn messes when needed. Oh, and if you’ve got carpets or rugs, the Combo J9+ knows how to lift those mop pads to avoid a watery mess.

While the hardware upgrades are impressive, the real magic happens thanks to OS 7, the software that powers these robots. OS 7 introduces a nifty feature called “Dirt Detective.” This clever algorithm remembers where it cleaned last time and pinpoints the dirtiest spots in your home, focusing on those areas first. So, no more wasted effort on already clean rooms.

The Roomba Combo J9+ takes personalization to a whole new level with “SmartScrub.” When it’s mopping, this feature makes sure the robot goes over high-traffic areas like your kitchen multiple times, cranking up the scrubbing power to banish dirt and stains. And don’t worry; it’s smart enough to scrub less in cleaner areas, so your hardwood floors stay protected.

Excited to get your hands on one of these marvels? You can pre-order the Roomba J9+ and Combo J9+ directly from iRobot, or if you prefer, wait for them to hit third-party retailers soon. Shipments are expected to start rolling out this fall. The J9+ vacuum-only model will set you back $899.99, while the Combo J9+ with all its tricks and features comes in at $1,399.99.

And here’s a sneak peek into the future: OS 7 won’t be exclusive to the J9+ series. iRobot plans to bring this advanced operating system to other Roomba models as well, although they’re keeping their cards close to their chest regarding which ones will receive the upgrade.

The future of home cleaning is here, and it looks sleek, smart, and super convenient. With the J9+ series, iRobot is making strides to redefine how we maintain our living spaces. Whether it’s tackling stubborn stains or navigating the messiest rooms, these bots are poised to revolutionize your cleaning game.
