Instagram finally added support to Image preview on Twitter tweets. Now, when you share Instagram posts or copy link and paste it to Twitter will appear with an image preview (see above-featured image). This will help your followers or audiences to show them what they will see when they click on your Instagram link which you’ve just posted on Twitter. And you might notice that the links also included Instagram’s user profile unique username as well as the type of Instagram content like Reels. This is also helpful for people to understand whether it’s your Instagram link or someone else.

Also, when you write a Tweet and include a link to an Instagram post, then the image preview will be shown as a Twitter Card with a thumbnail in the tweet. If you choose to share to Twitter from Instagram, the caption from the post will appear in addition to the image preview.

Instagram currently only shows image previews of feed posts, like photos, videos carousel, and Reels when you share to Twitter. While the company says, Stories won’t show up as previews on Twitter for now.

Aside from the image preview update on Twitter, Instagram now allows you to embed your Instagram profile with up to six of your most recent images on a website. Instagram currently rolls out this in the United States, but they have planned to expand it to more countries soon.

Showcasing Instagram profile on website

To embed an Instagram profile on the website, first, you need to enable this feature in your Instagram app settings which you can allow other people or publishers to showcase your Instagram profile on the website. To do that, find the “Embeds” option in your Instagram app settings and turn it on. If you don’t want people or publishers to showcase your profile on the website then you can leave it turned off, this will provide more safety to your Instagram account.

Once you enable this “Embeds” feature in the settings (only available to US users), now it’s ready to showcase on the website. To do that, go to the profile you want to share, if it’s your profile, click the gear icon. If it’s another profile, click the •••. Then click on “embed” and tap on “copy embed code” and paste that code into your website to showcase your Instagram profile preview with the six most recent images on the website. That’s it.

Note: This update currently rolling out in the United States and will be expanding to more countries soo, according to the company statement.
