Google is gearing up to unveil its latest batch of smart home gadgets alongside the highly anticipated Pixel 9 series. And while all eyes might be on the smartphones, there’s a strong possibility that the company could be dropping a bombshell in the smart home realm: a revamped Nest Learning Thermostat.

Recent leaks have painted a tantalizing picture of a thermostat that’s a far cry from its predecessors. We’re talking about a premium device with a design that’s as sleek as it is functional.

Renowned leaker Arsène Lupin has once again dropped a bombshell, this time sharing what appears to be official marketing materials for the upcoming Nest Thermostat. The images offer a crystal-clear look at a device that’s a significant departure from its predecessors.

Imagine a thermostat with a borderless display that stretches seamlessly across its face. Encased in a stylish stainless steel frame, it’s a piece of tech that could effortlessly blend into any modern home decor. But the magic doesn’t stop there. Google is reportedly introducing a customizable home screen, allowing users to personalize the thermostat’s appearance to their liking.

Of course, a thermostat is more than just a pretty face. Google is promising a suite of smart features to go along with the new design. Adaptive Eco, a feature designed to optimize energy consumption, is expected to return, joined by a System Health Monitor that can diagnose potential issues with your heating or cooling system. Matter compatibility is also on the cards, ensuring seamless integration with other smart home devices.

The leaked images also hint at an upgraded version of the Farsight feature, dubbed Dynamic Farsight. While details are scarce, it’s safe to assume that this feature will offer even more advanced display capabilities.

The leaked marketing materials suggest that this new Nest Thermostat could come with a premium price tag of $279. While that’s a significant jump from previous models, the combination of a sleek design and advanced features could justify the higher cost for early adopters.

We won’t have to wait much longer to find out for sure. Google’s hardware event is scheduled for August 13th, and all will be revealed then.
