Google has announced the expansion of its Gemini AI chatbot to Gmail on Android devices. This new feature aims to simplify email management by providing users with a more intuitive and efficient way to interact with their inbox.

Key features of Gmail Q&A:

  • Natural language queries: Users can ask questions in plain language, such as “What emails did I receive from John last week?” or “Summarize the emails about the upcoming project.”
  • Intelligent responses: Gemini leverages its advanced AI capabilities to understand and respond to user queries accurately, providing relevant information and actions.
  • Enhanced search: The chatbot can help users find specific emails or information within their inbox more quickly and easily.
  • Task automation: Gmail Q&A can assist with tasks like scheduling meetings, following up on emails, and creating drafts.

Availability and requirements:

  • Gmail Q&A is currently rolling out to Android users. iOS users can expect the feature to be available soon.
  • To access this feature, users must have a Google One AI Premium subscription or a Google Workspace plan with the Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium add-ons.

Note: While Gmail Q&A is a powerful tool, it’s important to exercise caution and verify the accuracy of its responses, especially when dealing with sensitive information.
