Facebook testing “Threads” button feature for posts

Reportedly Facebook is working on a new feature called the “Threads” button for posts just similar to Twitter, this button will help followers navigate to see all the posts in the thread. Facebook currently testing this feature on selected facebook Pages and Public Figures Pages.

These threaded postings will feature a “View Post Thread” button, according to Facebook, which will allow followers to simply access all of the posts in the thread. When you press the button, you’ll be sent to a page where you can see all of the threaded posts in one spot.

Social media consultant Matt Navarra first spotted this feature in action and shared several screenshots of how it looks.

Facebook refuses to reveal when or when the test will be extended to other public figures on the network, or if it would eventually be expanded to other Page categories, such as Businesses or Facebook Groups.

Due to character limitations in tweets, Twitter implemented the threads feature in 2017. Threads features in Twitter allow users to follow a conversation more easily by connecting many tweets on the same subject.

According to a source, unlike Twitter, Facebook posts have larger character limits and can be up to 63,206 characters long.

When public figures pages want to add extra information on a relevant subject or on situations like during a live event, the threads functionality in Facebook postings will come in handy.
