Facebook Launches Ray-Ban Stories Smart Glasses

Facebook recently launched their first generation of smart glasses called “Ray-Ban Stories” that let you capture photos, and videos, listen to music, and even take phone calls. Facebook and EssilorLuxottica partnering to introduce Ray-Ban Stories Smart Glasses, and it starts at $299 and is available in 20 different style combinations.

Ray-Ban Stories Smart Glasses are available to purchase online and available in selected retail stores in the US, as well as Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, and the UK.

Ray-Ban Stories Smart Glasses have two 5MP cameras built-in, allowing you to record every moment from a unique angle. Using the capture button or hands-free using facebook Assistant voice commands, you can take images and up to 30-second videos. When you’re shooting a photo or video, a hard-wired capture LED illuminates to alert those close.

Ray-Ban Stories features a three-microphone audio array that enables stronger speech and sound transmission for calls and videos, as well as streamlined, open-ear speakers. Beamforming technology and a background noise suppression algorithm deliver a superior calling experience comparable to that of dedicated headphones.

Ray-Ban Stories is compatible with the new Facebook View app, allowing you to seamlessly share your stories and experiences with friends and followers on social media. On iOS and Android, the Facebook View app makes it simple to import, edit, and share content taken on the smart glasses to apps on your phone, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, and TikTok, Snapchat, and more.

You can also save content to the camera roll on your phone, modify it, and share it from there. Facebook View’s new exclusive post-capture capabilities allow you to generate unique content to add a personal touch to your posts.
