Facebook launches Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Curtain Call to Portal & AR masks on Instagram and Facebook in the US and UK. During Portal-to-Portal video conversations, you and up to three friends can turn into characters from the play and bring the magic of the stage production to life. In addition to Curtain Contact, you can video call your friends in Hogwarts Great Hall, the Ministry of Magic, and The Edge of the Forbidden Forest, or use Portal’s Photo Booth app to shoot movies to share.

There is also 12 exclusive augmented reality (AR) masks of Portal’s most popular characters in the game. Fans on Instagram and Facebook can still interact with the AR masks via each app’s camera and upload video and photos via stories if they don’t have a Portal device.

The experience can be started by tapping “Curtain Call” in Portal’s effects tray. Then, from the menu, choose between visiting Hogwarts Great Hall, the Ministry of Magic, or the Edge of the Forbidden Forest.

When the lights go down, each individual on the call will take on the role of a character from the show and be given a unique spell that is assigned at random. Simply nod your head or tap the screen to cast it, then sit back and watch your friends be surprised.
