Facebook added two new destinations to its Transfer Your Information Tool

Last year, Facebook added Dropbox and Koofr to its Transfer Your Information Tool that allowing users to seamlessly transfer their Facebook information like photos, videos, Posts, and notes directly to Google Photos, Backblaze B2, Blogger, WordPress.com along with Dropbox and Koofr which have been added last year September 2020.

Now Facebook has been adding two new destinations: Photobucket and Google Calendar and one new data type: Facebook Events to its Transfer Your Information Tool which will give more control to users over transferring their Facebook information.

This open-source Data Transfer Project was launched in 2018 to create an open-source service-to-service data portability platform so that all individuals across the web could easily move their data between online service providers whenever they want. The principle of data portability is to give people control over their data and the choice to be able to move it while also encouraging innovation.

To use the Facebook Transfer Your Information Tool on iOS, tap the three-line hamburger menu from the right side bottom then expand the Settings & Privacy, tap Settings now scroll down until you will find Transfer a Copy of Your Information and tap on it once you found. There Facebook will be asking for enter your password, just enter it and you will now see the Transfer a Copy of Your Information page.

Now you will see there are two steps, in Step 1 you need to select what information you want to transfer, and in Step 2 you need to choose the destination to save all of your Facebook information, tap the Next button. Once you tap the Next button you will be asking for login credentials of your destination, for example, take the new destination Photobucket, just enter or sign in to your Photobucket account information and follow simple steps to complete your Facebook information transfer process.

For Android, the steps are similar to iOS just follow it and apply it.

On the desktop computer, go to your Facebook Settings and click on Your Facebook Information, in the second option you will see Transfer a copy of your Information, click on View and enter your Facebook password, and then follow the simple steps which I already provide you in the above.
