The Google Pixel 6a is the cheapest version in the Pixel 6 lineup, and it’s run by the same Google Tensor processor found in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The device was announced at Google I/O 2022 keynote and we have all the latest Google Pixel 6a stock wallpapers for you. But first, let’s talk a little bit about the new Pixel 6a.

Pixel 6a is the smallest and cheapest smartphone in the Pixel 6 series, costing approximately $449 in the United States (that’s $20 extra as compared to iPhone SE 3rd Generation & $50 for iPhone SE 2nd Generation), the pre-order for Pixel 6a will start from July 21, 2022, and it will be available to purchase from July 28 in the select countries.

It’s still the smallest in the Pixel 6 series, with a 6.1-inch display. It has a few design adjustments and downgrades to bring the phone’s starting price down. However, it retains the same design as its more premium predecessors, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.

The Pixel 6a features a 60Hz refresh rate and a 2,340 x 1,080-pixel FHD+ OLED display. It’s worth noting that this is Google’s first low-cost phone to include a biometric fingerprint sensor in the display. The screen is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, just like the Pixel 5a from last year.

The Pixel 6a is powered by a Google Tensor processor while being positioned as a mid-range alternative to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. It also has the Titan M2 security coprocessor, making it one of the safest Android phones on the market.

The Google Tensor SoC is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,306mAh battery with fast charging capability and also supports USB Power Delivery 3.0. Google claims that the phone can last up to 72 hours on a single charge when using the Extreme Battery Saver mode.

For the first time, Google has removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from the Pixel 6a. The phone also has IP67 water and dust resistance certification.

The back camera system is a considerable drop from the main 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN1 sensor seen on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. The Pixel 6a has 12.2-megapixel wide-angle and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera lenses on the back, which could be Sony IMX363 and IMX386 sensors. The centrally positioned punch-hole notch on the front sports an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 selfie camera.
