Codemasters confirmed the release date for Grid Legends, check bonuses & editions

Following the announcement in July 2021, Codemasters has finally confirmed the release date for GRID Legends, which will be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on February 25, 2022.

GRID Legends will be available in Standard and Deluxe Editions, according to Codemasters. Deluxe Edition gets access to additional items on launch day, and a huge slate of post-launch content is currently in development.

Players who purchase the Deluxe Edition will receive the Voltz Pack, which includes two cars (Volkswagen Golf GTI 1:1 and Audi R8 1:1) as well as team liveries, banners, and logos to enable you to represent Voltz, one of the new teams featured in GRID Legends’ ‘Driven to Glory’ story mode.

Deluxe Edition owners will receive the Mechanic Pass on launch day, which is an add-on that allows players to access vehicle upgrades faster. The Mechanic Pass doubles your mileage counter, meaning upgrades are accessible faster for cars you own and race. Car upgrades are unlocked when you reach total mileage milestones in a car. In addition to the Challenges available to all players, Deluxe Edition owners get access to unique Challenges.

Grid Legends: Seneca & Ravenwest Double Pack will be available to anyone who pre-order either edition of the game. The Aston Martin Vantage GT4, Porsche 962C, Ginetta G55 GT4, and Koenigsegg Jesko are among the four more vehicles accessible in Career events with this double pack, which is available on launch day.

GRID Legends will include over 130 tracks, ranging from real-life circuits like Brands Hatch and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to street circuits in cities like San Francisco, Paris, London, and Moscow. More than 100 vehicles will compete in arena ovals, street circuits, and off-road racing, including touring cars, semi-trailer trucks, open-wheel cars, stadium trucks, drift cars, and even electric vehicles. The same virtual set technology is used as in the American Space Western television series The Mandalorian.

The game will have a storyline, which is inspired by Netflix’s documentary series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. In F1 2021, called Breaking Point, Codemasters had previously chosen to do so. GRID Legends, on the other hand, has revealed that the mode will be far more narrative-driven, with a number of professional actors, like Ncuti Gatwa, scheduled to voice various characters in the game. This means Nathan McKane, who has been a consistent driver throughout the series, will be seen and heard for the first time.

Pre-order GRID Legends

  • GRID Legends Standard Edition, $59.99 — PlayStation Store | Xbox Store | Steam Store | (Best Buy for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S)
  • GRID Legends Deluxe Edition, $79.99 — PlayStation Store | Xbox Store | Steam Store
