CNN announced yesterday the launch of “CNN Originals,” a new free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel featuring a curated selection of its acclaimed original series. The channel will be available on Amazon Freevee, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Plex, with additional platforms to be added in the coming weeks.
This latest addition to CNN’s FAST channel portfolio offers viewers a fresh way to experience some of the network’s most beloved programming. From the award-winning investigative journalism of “This is Life with Lisa Ling” to the cultural exploration of “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” CNN Originals provides a diverse lineup of long-form content.
“We’re very happy to expand CNN’s FAST portfolio with the new compelling offering of a CNN Originals channel, bringing some of the very best, award-winning long-form content in the business to audiences in this format,” said Phil Nelson, executive vice president of CNN International Commercial. “This new channel adds to CNN’s current FAST offerings of CNN Headlines in the US and CNN Fast around the world, with additional channels planned to launch in the months ahead.”
The channel’s programming includes a range of genres, from documentaries and docuseries to travel and food programming. With its focus on high-quality content and a user-friendly platform, CNN Originals aims to capture the attention of viewers seeking informative and entertaining programming.
