From now until December 31, 2024, Best Buy and Amazon are offering a free 12-month subscription to Google One AI Premium when you purchase a Chromebook Plus. That’s a savings of $239.88 over the year—pretty good if you ask me!

Normally, the Google One AI Premium subscription costs $19.99 a month, but if you grab a Chromebook Plus from Best Buy and Amazon, you’ll get it on the house for a full year. So, what’s included? Here’s the rundown:

  • 2TB of cloud storage: Enough to store all your files, photos, and then some.
  • Gemini Advanced: Google’s latest AI-powered features, integrated into apps like Gmail, Docs, and more. Think of it like having a personal assistant to help with your work.
  • Magic Editor in Google Photos: Unlimited saves with this cool AI-powered editor that lets you tweak and enhance your photos.
  • 10% back in Google Store credit: When you shop at the Google Store, you’ll get a little cash back on your purchases.
  • Premium Google Workspace features: Access to more advanced tools in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

How to redeem the offer

Once you’ve picked up your new Chromebook Plus from Best Buy and Amazon, you can redeem the offer by heading over to Google’s Chromebook Perks page at google.com/intl/en_us/chromebook/perks/. Just make sure you redeem it before December 31, 2024, at 11:59 pm PT. The offer is only valid for new Chromebook Plus users, so if you’ve got an old Chromebook, you’ll have to sit this one out.

While the deal is great, keep in mind that after your 12-month free period, the subscription will automatically renew at $19.99 a month. If you don’t want to be charged, make sure to cancel before the year is up.
