A person is seated at a wooden table using a HP Chromebook x360 14-inch laptop. The Chromebook Plus laptop screen displays what appears to be a webpage with various images and blocks of text, possibly an online article or a digital magazine. The person’s left hand rests on the trackpad while the right hand is poised above the keyboard, suggesting they are navigating or about to type. Visible on the person’s left forearm is a tattoo of an unidentifiable design. In the background, there are blurred art supplies and pictures, indicating a creative workspace environment.

If you’re in the market for a new Chromebook, Best Buy and Amazon have a sweet deal going on right now. From now until December 31, 2024, Best Buy and Amazon are offering a free 12-month subscription to Google One AI Premium when you purchase a Chromebook Plus. That’s a savings of $239.88 over the year—pretty good if you ask me!

An image of a Chromebook Plus laptop with the screen displaying a colorful and organized user interface. The interface shows a greeting message “Hello, Ann,” followed by a search bar and several icons for apps like Google SLides, Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Sheets on the left side. On the right side, there is an open window with options such as "Catch me up," “Show emails,” “Draft an email,” and “Show emails about topic sent last week.” Below this window, there’s another smaller window displaying recent emails with brief previews. The laptop is set against a dark background that contrasts with its sleek design. The words “chromebook plus” in lowercase letters followed by “with Gemini” are visible at the bottom of the image.

What you get with Google One AI Premium

Normally, the Google One AI Premium subscription costs $19.99 a month, but if you grab a Chromebook Plus from Best Buy and Amazon, you’ll get it on the house for a full year. So, what’s included? Here’s the rundown:

  • 2TB of cloud storage: Enough to store all your files, photos, and then some.
  • Gemini Advanced: Google’s latest AI-powered features, integrated into apps like Gmail, Docs, and more. Think of it like having a personal assistant to help with your work.
  • Magic Editor in Google Photos: Unlimited saves with this cool AI-powered editor that lets you tweak and enhance your photos.
  • 10% back in Google Store credit: When you shop at the Google Store, you’ll get a little cash back on your purchases.
  • Premium Google Workspace features: Access to more advanced tools in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

How to redeem the offer

Once you’ve picked up your new Chromebook Plus from Best Buy and Amazon, you can redeem the offer by heading over to Google’s Chromebook Perks page at google.com/intl/en_us/chromebook/perks/. Just make sure you redeem it before December 31, 2024, at 11:59 pm PT. The offer is only valid for new Chromebook Plus users, so if you’ve got an old Chromebook, you’ll have to sit this one out.

While the deal is great, keep in mind that after your 12-month free period, the subscription will automatically renew at $19.99 a month. If you don’t want to be charged, make sure to cancel before the year is up.
