Canon’s pocket-sized Ivy 2 Mini Photo Printer is back on sale for $89.99 at Amazon, down from its $119.99 list price. That’s a $30 discount (25%), matching one of the better prices we’ve seen for Canon’s compact Bluetooth photo printer during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days promotions.

Unlike traditional photo printers, the Ivy 2 doesn’t use ink cartridges. It relies on ZINK (Zero Ink) technology to produce colorful 2 x 3-inch peel-and-stick photos, making it a convenient option for scrapbooking, journaling, decorating notebooks, or printing quick snapshots directly from your smartphone.

A compact printer for instant smartphone photos

The Canon Ivy 2 pairs wirelessly with compatible iPhone and Android devices through Bluetooth and works with the Canon Mini Print app. You can edit photos, add filters, stickers, frames, and text before printing.

Canon says the second-generation Ivy offers improved image quality with better skin tones, contrast, and sharper details compared to the original model.

The printer is small enough to fit into a backpack or purse, making it a good companion for travel, parties, classrooms, or family gatherings where you want physical copies of photos without carrying a larger printer.

No ink required

One of the Ivy 2’s biggest advantages is its ZINK printing system, which eliminates ink cartridges and toner entirely. Instead, all the color information is embedded inside the special photo paper.

The printed photos feature a sticky backing, allowing them to be used as instant stickers for planners, journals, phone cases, scrapbooks, laptops, or greeting cards.

Keep in mind that you’ll still need to purchase Canon ZINK photo paper separately once the included sheets run out, so ongoing paper costs are worth factoring into the overall value.

Is it worth buying?

At $89.99, the Canon Ivy 2 is a solid buy for anyone who regularly prints casual smartphone photos and prefers a lightweight, portable printer over larger instant photo systems. It isn’t designed to replace a dedicated photo printer, but for fun prints, creative projects, and travel memories, it offers good value at this price.
