Sonos Move 2 portable smart speaker

Sonos might be grabbing headlines for its new Ace headphones, but for those looking for a more immediate upgrade, the company is offering deep discounts on its existing speakers and soundbars. This sale runs through June 16th and offers savings of up to 25% on a variety of models, including some of the latest additions to the Sonos lineup.

One of the standout deals is on the Sonos Move 2, a portable speaker that launched last September. This hefty device boasts a user-replaceable battery that delivers up to 24 hours of playtime and can even be used as a power bank to charge other devices via USB-C. While the Move’s 6.6-pound weight might not make it ideal for every backpacking adventure, its room-filling sound makes it perfect for backyard gatherings or moving the party from room to room. The Move seamlessly integrates with Sonos’ Wi-Fi multi-room system but also offers Bluetooth connectivity for those times you want to take your tunes further afield. The Move is currently available for $336, a significant discount of $113 from its original price tag.

For those who prioritize portability over raw power, the Sonos Roam SL is also on sale. This tiny speaker packs a surprising punch and offers the flexibility of both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. The lack of a microphone makes it a good option for those who don’t use voice assistants, and the current price of $127 (down $32) makes it an attractive choice.

If you’re looking for speakers that stay put, the Sonos Era 100 and Era 300 are also discounted. The Era 100 is a compact model that delivers impressive sound for its size, making it a great option for smaller spaces. The Era 300 boasts a more unique design and supports spatial audio, making it a tempting (though pricier) option for those who plan to pair it with the Arc soundbar. Both Era models offer a line-in option, allowing you to connect a turntable and transform it into the heart of your home audio system. The Era 100 is currently available for $199 (down $50) while the Era 300 can be purchased for $359 (down $90).

The sale also includes discounts on Sonos’ popular soundbars. The mid-range Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is on sale for $399, a $100 price cut. For those looking for the ultimate home theater experience, the flagship Sonos Arc is also discounted to $719, saving you $180. Both soundbars deliver a significant audio upgrade over your TV’s built-in speakers, providing clearer dialogue and deeper bass, especially noticeable during action-packed scenes. Additionally, both the Beam and Arc will support a future feature that allows you to seamlessly switch audio playback between the soundbar and the Sonos Ace headphones (when they launch).

For most users, the Beam likely offers the best balance of features and price. It boasts HDMI eARC connectivity and Dolby Atmos support, delivering a great home theater experience. The Arc is the better option for those who crave the absolute best sound quality and the flexibility to expand into a full surround sound system with additional Sonos speakers.
