The Beats Android app just got a major update, bringing support for two of the company’s latest offerings: the Beats Solo Buds and the Beats Pill speaker. This update, released on Tuesday, follows the launch of these new products earlier this month.

The Beats app goes beyond simply allowing you to play music on your Beats headphones or speaker. It acts as a central hub for managing your entire Beats experience.

Here’s a breakdown of what you can do with the app:

  • Effortless pairing: Forget fiddling with Bluetooth settings. The Beats app offers one-touch pairing, making it a breeze to connect your Beats devices to your Android phone.
  • Fine-tune your audio: Take control of your sound! The app provides access to features like Noise Cancellation (on applicable models), Equalization, and Sound Profiles. This lets you customize your listening experience to match your preferences and the type of music you’re enjoying.
  • Never lose your Beats again: This is a lifesaver for anyone who constantly misplaces their earbuds. The Beats app offers a “Locate My Beats” feature that utilizes location services to show you where your Beats are on a map.
  • Stay updated, stay on top: The app keeps your Beats devices running at their best by notifying you of new firmware updates and guiding you through the installation process. Interestingly, this update functionality seems to be superior to the iOS version of the Beats app, where firmware updates are automatically downloaded and installed at the system’s discretion.
  • Widgets and battery stats: The Beats app allows you to create custom widgets for your Beats devices on your Android homescreen. This provides quick access to controls and lets you keep an eye on your battery levels.

The good news is that the Beats app isn’t just for the latest releases. It’s compatible with a wide range of Beats products, including:

  • Beats Studio Pro
  • Beats Solo 4 (including the newly released model)
  • Beats Studio Buds +
  • Beats Fit Pro
  • Beats Studio Buds
  • Beats Flex
  • Powerbeats Pro
  • Powerbeats series (including Powerbeats, Powerbeats3 Wireless)
  • Beats Solo Pro
  • Beats Studio3 Wireless
  • Beats Solo3 Wireless
  • BeatsX
  • And of course, the new Beats Pill speaker
