If you’ve ever found yourself in a bind—needing to charge your phone while also requiring a stable internet connection in the middle of nowhere—Baseus has just the gadget for you. Unveiled at CES 2025, the Baseus EnerGeek MiFi Power Bank isn’t just another power bank; it’s a dual-function device that could redefine our expectations for portable tech.

The EnerGeek MiFi Power Bank, which is set to hit the market in April 2025 for a reasonable $89.99, packs a punch. This isn’t your average power bank; it’s designed to serve as both a charging station and a mobile hotspot. Compatible with 4G networks across more than 100 countries, including the US, Canada, and Japan, this device promises to keep you connected whether you’re in the bustling streets of Tokyo or the more remote parts of Canada.

Imagine this: you’re at a music festival, and your phone’s battery is dwindling just as your friends are trying to reach you. With EnerGeek, you can charge your phone while simultaneously setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot for your group to connect their devices. It supports up to 10 devices via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, offering download speeds up to 50Mbps, though this speed can fluctuate based on network conditions and signal strength.

Baseus has cleverly designed this gadget to not just provide power but also internet access, eliminating the need for separate devices. The company promises “flexible network plans with no monthly fees or usage restrictions,” which users can customize through a dedicated app. This feature could be a game-changer for digital nomads, remote workers, or anyone who values the freedom of not being tethered to traditional service plans.

The power bank itself includes two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, catering to a variety of device connections. There’s also an integrated USB-C cable that doubles as a handy carrying strap, which is a nice touch for portability. With a 20,000mAh battery, it’s robust enough for extended use, though it has a power output cap of 67W. This means it’s perfect for smartphones and tablets, but some laptops might require exclusive charging sessions to get the juice they need.

A small but useful display on the side keeps you informed about the battery’s charge level, power output, and connectivity status, ensuring you’re never left in the dark about your device’s capabilities.

For those who prefer a less complex setup, Baseus also showcased another power bank at CES 2025. This one sticks to the basics but does them exceptionally well. It also features a 20,000mAh capacity but comes with two retractable USB-C cables—one of which can completely retract into the device for better portability. It supports up to 100W of power delivery for a single device, making it suitable for charging more power-hungry devices like laptops. Priced at $99.99 and also slated for an April 2025 release, this traditional power bank offers a clear, informative screen to monitor power usage and remaining battery life.

The Baseus EnerGeek MiFi Power Bank stands out in a crowded market by marrying the necessity of power with the luxury of connectivity. Whether you’re a traveler, a remote worker, or just someone who likes to be prepared, this device could be the upgrade your tech life didn’t know it needed. With its competitive pricing and innovative features, Baseus is setting a new standard for what we expect from our portable chargers.
