Yesterday, ASUS introduced its new ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro gaming phone line during its live stream event. Both gaming phones boast displays with a faster refresh rate of 165Hz and are powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Also, both phones have the same display size of a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. Moving its cooling system, the phones have improved cooling systems with 360-degree CPU cooling technology. At the center, ASUS put the processor to cool it down on both sides using Boron Nitride thermal compound. ASUS claims that it allows CPU heat reduction up to 10 degrees celsius.
The other major components include a triple camera setup with a Sony IMX766 sensor, the main has a 50MP wide camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and 5MP macro camera, and a 12MP wide front-facing camera with 1080p video recording at 30fps. The main camera can record 8K videos at 24fps, 4K at 30/60/120fps, 1080p at 30/60/120/240fps and 720p at 480fps.
Both phones have the same storage options with up to 512GB and ram up to 16GB, and also support an IPX4 splash resistance. Moving to battery specs, both have 6000mAh capacity with 65W fast charging support, 10W reverse charging, Power Delivery 3.0 support, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 5. ASUS claims the phones can charge 100% in 42 minutes using a 65W fast charger.
You might be surprised that, the company has placed the charging port at the side of the phone so users can easily handle the device while gaming and charging at the same time.
As per the price, according to GSMAreana, the ROG Phone 6 with its 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will retail for €999/£899 in Europe and Rs.71,999 in India while the top-speed ROG Phone 6 Pro with 18GB RAM and 512GB storage will retail for €1,299/£1,099 and Rs.89,999 respectively. The great news is, that ASUS paired the new ROG Cetra Pro earbuds are paired with the new ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro.
