ASUS is rolling out its latest NUC mini PC, NUC 14 Pro AI, and it’s packing some serious hardware with Intel’s new Core Ultra Series 2 processors. But here’s the real kicker: the front of this tiny powerhouse sports a dedicated Copilot button for Microsoft’s AI assistant.
Now, I’m scratching my head a bit over this one. Who needs an AI button on a mini PC that’s likely going to be tucked away on a desk, out of arm’s reach? It’s a curious addition, especially since Microsoft tried and failed to push similar buttons on keyboards before.
Aside from this head-scratcher, the NUC does come with some sensible features. There’s a fingerprint reader on top for Windows Hello authentication—definitely a more practical addition for logging in when you first fire up the PC.
This NUC is stacked with ports. The front panel includes two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, and a headphone jack. Around the back, you get another Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI port, an ethernet port, and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Plus, it’s got Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. There’s even an internal speaker with a microphone, which could come in handy if you’re not rocking a fancy speaker setup or high-end headphones.

What’s inside? Intel’s latest Lunar Lake processors promise a significant boost in performance, offering up to twice the GPU power of the previous generation. ASUS is also using a high-end fluid dynamic bearing fan to keep things cool even under heavy loads.
The ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI is also a Copilot Plus PC, meaning you’ll get access to Microsoft’s latest AI features through an update coming in November. We don’t have a price yet, but it’s expected to hit the shelves later this year.
