Apple recently announced the global premiere date for “Dickinson,” an award-winning series from Apple Original comedy series that will debut its third and final season on Friday, November 5, 2021, on Apple TV+.

“Dickinson” is created, written and executive produced by Alena Smith, who also makes her directorial debut, and starring Academy Award nominee Hailee Steinfeld, who also executive produces.

In the third season, Emily Dickinson’s most productive time as an artist falls amid the raging American Civil War and an equally fierce battle that divides her own family. As Emily tries to heal the divides around her, she wonders if art can help keep hope alive and whether the future can be better than the past.

Following its first season, “Dickinson” was nominated for a Peabody Award and a GLAAD Media Award, and Steinfeld was recently nominated for the inaugural HCA TV Awards in the Best Actress in a Streaming Series, Comedy category by the Hollywood Critics Association.

Smith, Michael Sugar and Ashley Zalta for Sugar23 Productions; Paul Lee and Josh Stern for wiip; Alex Goldstone for Anonymous Content; Hailee Steinfeld; Robbie MacDonald, who also writes; Silas Howard, who also directs; and Diana Schmidt are among the executive producers on “Dickinson.” Smith also acts as a showrunner and writer. Wiip, Anonymous Content, and Sugar23 are the producers of the show.
