The brand-new Apple Watch Ultra, which was introduced today at Apple‘s “Far out” event, can be pre-ordered for $799 in the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, India, Japan, the United Kingdom, and more than 40 other countries and regions. The new Apple Watch Ultra will go on sale and start shipping to consumers on September 23, 2022.
The Apple Watch Ultra is a rugged watch with a 49mm titanium case, a large display with a flat sapphire crystal top, new bands made for outdoor use, water resistance up to 100 meters, a programmable bright orange “Action” button on the left side of the case, and more.
The Apple Watch Ultra has a larger display, and a new Wayfinder watch face was built for it. and has a compass and space for up to eight complications. Additionally, new workout views with quick access to key information including Segments, Splits, and Elevation.
A new Low Power Mode with less frequent GPS and heart rate readings will be available in the upcoming watchOS 9 software update later this year, according to Apple. The Apple Watch Ultra is claimed as having up to 36 hours of battery life per charge during normal usage.
