“The Afterparty,” a murder-mystery comedy series set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 28, 2022. Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Ben Schwartz, Ike Barinholtz, Ilana Glazer, Jamie Demetriou, and Dave Franco are among the cast members of “The Afterparty.”

The eight-episode first season, from Academy Award, BAFTA, and Golden Globe Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord, will premiere with three episodes, followed by one new episode every Friday.

“The Afterparty,” created and directed by Miller, is a genre-defying series about a murder mystery at a high school reunion. Each episode digs into the story of a new character’s recollection of the tragic event in question, all while using prominent film genres and unique imagery to complement the storyteller’s viewpoint.

Miller acts as showrunner and executive producer alongside Lord through their production company, Lord Miller, in addition to directing. Anthony King (“Search Party,” “Dead to Me”), a Tony and Emmy-nominated writer, producer, and performer, will also executive produce the series. Aubrey Lee, Lord Miller’s VP of Television, is a producer on the show, which was created for Apple by TriStar TV and Sony Pictures Television as part of Lord & Miller’s five-year overall television arrangement.
