The highly anticipated thriller series “Slow Horses,” starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman, will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, April 1, 2022.
The six-part drama, based on Mick Herron’s first novel in the “Slow Horses” series, will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode every Friday.
“Slow Horses” follows the story of British intelligence agents who work at MI5’s Slough House dumping ground. Jackson Lamb, the bright but irascible leader of the spies who ended up in Slough House as a result of their career-ending mistakes, is played by Gary Oldman.
Oscar nominee Kristin Scott Thomas (“Darkest Hour”), Academy Award nominee Jonathan Pryce (“The Two Popes”), BAFTA Scotland Award winner Jack Lowden (“Dunkirk”), and Olivia Cooke (“Sound of Metal”) join Oldman in the ensemble cast.
See-Saw Films created the series for Apple, and Will Smith (“Veep”) adapted it for television. Along with Smith, Graham Yost serves as an executive producer. Executive producers of the show include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux, and Douglas Urbanski. All six episodes are directed and executive produced by James Hawes.
