Apple TV Plus announced the second season of “Physical,” the critically acclaimed dark comedy starring and executive produced by Rose Byrne. The highly anticipated 10-episode second season, from creator, writer, and executive producer Annie Weisman, will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 3 with the first episode, followed by one new episode every Friday thereafter.
Season two finds the character Sheila Rubin (played by Rose Byrne) having successfully launched her first fitness video, only to face new and more difficult challenges along the way. And now that she’s no longer the only game in town, she’ll have to outrun some tough new rivals on her way to becoming a full-fledged fitness empire.
Scovel, Dierdre Friel, Della Saba, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Paul Sparks star alongside Byrne in “Physical.” Murray Bartlett (“The White Lotus”), a charismatic fitness instructor, weight-loss guru, and pioneer of the late-night infomercial, joins the all-star ensemble cast for season two in the new role of Vincent “Vinnie” Green, a charismatic fitness instructor, weight-loss guru, and pioneer of the late-night infomercial.
“Physical” is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partnership). “Physical” is directed by Stephanie Laing, who also acts as executive producer alongside Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements for Tomorrow Studios, Alexandra Cunningham, John McNamara, Sera Gamble, and Byrne. It was created, written, and executive produced by Weisman, who also serves as showrunner.
