Apple‘s WWDC event might be all about iOS and macOS, but they didn’t forget about us couch potatoes who live for Apple TV+. This fall, they’re rolling out some updates that make watching shows and movies a whole lot smoother.

The biggest news is a feature called InSight. Ever get halfway through a show and forget the name of that one actor? With InSight, just a tap (on your phone you’re using as a remote, of course) and you’ll see the names of the actors and characters right on the screen. No more pausing to grab your phone and scramble to IMDb! InSight even works for music – hear a catchy tune during a scene? Shazam it right there and add it to your Apple Music playlist. Talk about convenience!

Speaking of convenience, subtitles are getting a brain upgrade. They’ll now automatically pop up if you mute the TV, rewind a bit, or if the characters are speaking a different language. No more scrambling to catch what someone just muttered under their breath.

Remember that “Enhance Dialogue” feature they introduced a while back? The one that uses fancy tech to make voices clearer over all the background noise? Well, it’s getting even better. Now it works on your actual TV speakers, AirPods, and basically any Bluetooth headphones you use. No more blasting the volume just to hear what someone’s whispering!

For the movie buffs out there, Apple’s adding support for those super wide 21:9 projector screens. Now you can watch your favorite films exactly as the director intended, all widescreen glory.

And last but not least, because who doesn’t love a good screensaver, they’re adding a bunch of new ones featuring characters from your favorite shows and movies. There’s even a new animated Snoopy screensaver that brings the playful pup to life on your idle TV screen. Is Snoopy chilling on your TV? That’s the kind of upgrade we can all get behind.

So, there you have it. A bunch of new features coming to Apple TV+ that make watching shows and movies easier, clearer, and maybe even a little more fun. Looks like those nights spent binging just got a whole lot better.
