The most successful Apple TV+ comedy series “Ted Lasso” has been nominated for a Peabody Award, as well as the children’s mindfulness show “Stillwater” also nominated for Peabody Award. The series was selected for distinction from over 1,300 submissions. The Peabody Awards honor the best of film, news, documentary, children’s, and public service programming in broadcasting and digital media, including television, radio/podcasts, and the web. The winners will be named at a virtual event in June.
About “Ted Lasso”
Sudeikis plays “Ted Lasso”, a small-time college football coach from Kansas who, despite having no prior coaching experience, is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England. In addition to Sudeikis, the ensemble cast includes Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, and Nick Mohammed.
Sudeikis also serves as executive producer alongside Bill Lawrence through his Doozer Productions in partnership with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a subsidiary of NBCUniversal Content Studios, in addition to starring. Jeff Ingold of Doozer serves as executive producer, and Liza Katzer serves as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Hunt, and Joe Kelly, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.

“Stillwater” is produced by Gaumont and Scholastic Entertainment and is based on Jon J Muth’s Scholastic book series “Zen Shorts.” It follows siblings Karl, Addy, and Michael, who are typical kids with typical kid problems – implying that even the smallest things can feel insurmountable at times. Fortunately for these three, their next-door neighbor is Stillwater, a wise panda.
Stillwater gives the children a better understanding of their feelings as well as tools to help them face their own day-to-day struggles through his example, stories, and gentle humor. Stillwater also gives the three newfound joy and adventure, introducing them to the quiet wonders of the universe and leading them to their proper position within it.
Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee, Nicolas Atlan, Terry Kalagian, Iole Lucchese, Caitlin Friedman, Jef Kaminsky, and Rob Hoegee executive produce “Stillwater,” which features James Sie, Eva Binder, Tucker Chandler, and Judah Mackey as voice actors. Apple TV+ is now streaming the first six episodes.
