Following numerous reports regarding the next-generation AirPods, Apple has officially introduced the new AirPods 3rd generation at Apple “Unleashed” event, which features a design that is remarkably comparable to what various concept creators predicted. Spatial audio, an H1 chip, computational audio with adaptive EQ, and other features are included in the 3rd generation AirPods.

The new AirPods employ a unique driver and a high dynamic range amplifier to provide powerful bass and crisp, pure high frequencies. The microphone is protected by an acoustic mesh, which reduces wind noise and ensures that the speaker’s voice is heard well during calls. AAC-ELD, a superior speech codec that enables full HD voice quality for FaceTime calls, enabling for clear, natural interaction, is also included with AirPods.

Adaptive EQ is another feature of the new AirPods, which alters the sound in real-time based on how the AirPods are positioned in the user’s ear. Sound is detected via an inward-facing microphone, and Adaptive EQ, which is powered by computational audio, adjusts the low and mid frequencies to compensate for any loss due to fit differences.

With the 3rd generation AirPods, users can enjoy Dolby Atmos spatial audio in Apple Music, movies, and TV shows, as well as dynamic head tracking across Apple devices.

AirPods have never sounded better than they do now, owing to Dolby Atmos, which gives a three-dimensional theater-like experience by positioning sound practically anywhere in space. Dynamic head tracking is now available, making music, video, and even Group FaceTime discussions feel more immersive than ever before. Using innovative spatial audio algorithms and directional audio filters to subtly adjust the frequencies that each ear receives, the new AirPods can put sound all around the user.

The new AirPods include the same intuitive force sensor as the AirPods Pro for media control. The new AirPods are sweat and water-resistant, with an Apple IPX4 rating for both the earphones and the charging case.

The new AirPods can last up to 30 hours of total listening time with the easy charging case; however, the company claims that 5 minutes of charging will provide consumers with one hour of listening time. The AirPods may provide up to 6 hours of listening time on a single charge. AirPods 3rd generation also supports MagSafe wireless charging.

AirPods 3rd generation price and availability

The new AirPods 3rd generation is now available for order on the Apple Store for $179 (Rs.18,500), with shipping beginning on Tuesday, October 26 in over 26 countries and regions.
