Apple Fitness+ is expanding its fitness services by adding services like Workouts for Pregnancy, Older Adults, Beginners, new Yoga, and High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). This will help users build confidence working out no matter whether they are beginners or experts.

Being said that, Apple Fitness+ is also expanding its team of world-class trainers by introducing a new Yoga and Mindful Cooldown trainer, Jonelle Lewis, additionally, Apple Fitness+ added new trainer Anja Garcia to the HIIT team.

Additionally, for those closing their rings with walking workouts, Jane Fonda — iconic actor, producer, author, and activist — will share inspiring stories, photos, and a few of her favorite songs in the next episode of Time to Walk in honor of Earth Day.

The new Workouts for Pregnancy, Workouts for Older Adults, and Workouts for Beginners, as well as Yoga and Mindful Cooldown with Jonelle Lewis, HIIT with Anja Garcia, and the new Time to Walk with Jane Fonda, will all be available in Fitness+ on April 19.

“Apple Fitness+ is integrated with Apple Watch to build on the goal of helping people live a better day by being more active. With more options for getting started, and staying active and healthy during pregnancy as well as at any age or fitness level, we hope even more people will be inspired to keep moving with our amazing team of passionate trainers,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of Fitness Technologies.

“We are also incredibly excited to welcome Jonelle Lewis to the trainer team and can’t wait for our users to try new HIIT workouts with Anja Garcia. We’ve brought together an incredibly diverse and inclusive team of Fitness+ trainers, and we love seeing our team grow, giving our users even more options to find the best workout for them.”

Workouts for Pregnancy, Older Adults, and Beginners

“The latest Workouts for Pregnancy, which include 10 workouts in Strength, Core, and Mindful Cooldown, are designed to help women remain active during a healthy pregnancy and prepare for life with a new baby. Every workout is a quick 10 minutes designed to accommodate any stage of pregnancy and any fitness level and includes tips for changing workouts using a pillow for comfort as the body changes, led by Fitness+ trainer and mom-to-be Betina Gozo, who is joined by trainers and new moms Emily Fayette and Anja Garcia. These workouts can be performed on their own or combined with Fitness+ weekly studio workouts by modifying them as seen in the series.”

“Workouts for Older Adults focus on strength, endurance, balance, coordination, and mobility to help users remain healthy at any age. This eight-workout collection, led by Fitness+ trainer Molly Fox, includes Gregg Cook for Power, Dustin Brown for Yoga, Bakari Williams for HIIT, and Jhon Gonzalez for Dance. Many of the exercises can be performed with only a light dumbbell or your own body weight, while others can be modified with a chair or against a wall. The workouts are all ten minutes long and can be performed alone or in conjunction with other Fitness+ workouts, with the changes learned in this program being used as required.”

“New Yoga, Strength, and HIIT workouts will be available in Workouts for Beginners to help more Fitness+ members get started and build motivation before trying the weekly studio workouts. There are now many more exercises to choose from to help develop strength, endurance, and versatility for those who are just getting started, consider themselves beginners or are getting back into exercise after a long break. All of the movements are low-impact and simple to execute, allowing beginners to feel at ease while doing basic exercises.”

More Trainers and Workouts

“Yoga and High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) are two of the most common Fitness+ workouts, and new coaches are joining both teams. Jonelle Lewis, who will be joining Molly Fox, Dustin Brown, and Jessica Skye for Yoga and Mindful Cooldown workouts, is the newest addition to the Fitness+ trainer squad. Jonelle has been studying yoga for over 15 years and has spent the last seven years teaching, mentoring, and educating other yoga instructors. Her upbeat teaching style and easy-to-follow flows would cater to both new and experienced yoga practitioners. She creates a playful and enjoyable vibe with her love of hip-hop and R&B beats, allowing people to be themselves and explore.”

“Anja Garcia can now be featured in HIIT, in addition to the new Workouts for Pregnancy and her frequent Rowing workouts. Along with Bakari Williams, Jamie-Ray Hartshorne, and Kim Ngo, Anja will bring her energy and passion to teaching HIIT workouts. Anja’s willingness to coach with authority, vitality, and compassion is inspiring. In addition to being a working mom and pediatric nurse in an intensive care unit, she has over 15 years of experience teaching workouts in gyms and online.”

Time to Walk with Jane Fonda

An episode of Time to Walk featuring Jane Fonda will be available starting April 19 in celebration of Earth Day. The actor, producer, author, and activist discuss facing her fears and the importance of acting to combat climate change. Time to Walk is an energetic new audio walking experience for Fitness+ subscribers on Apple Watch.

It was designed to inspire people to walk more often in order to reap the benefits of one of the world’s healthiest practices. Users will immerse themselves in a walk with influential and fascinating individuals — such as Wanda Sykes, Anthony Ramos, Dolly Parton, Shawn Mendes, Uzo Aduba, and Draymond Green — as they share thoughtful and meaningful stories, images, and music in each original Time to Walk segment.
