Apple has opened a new Apple Store named “Apple Al Maryah Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The new store connects The Galleria Al Maryah Island to the water’s edge, bringing the best of Apple to Abu Dhabi’s renowned financial area while offering seaside views. The new Apple Store in Abu Dhabi can be accessed from here: https://www.apple.com/ae/retail/almaryahisland/.

Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People, Deirdre O’Brien, said, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to open the stunning Apple Al Maryah Island this Friday.” “Our talented team is ready to welcome and delight customers from this vibrant community to our newest location in the Emirates,” he added.

Photographer Mohamed Somji will lead a co-created Photo Walk on March 6th, where he will share his personal skills. Local musicians, artists, developers, entrepreneurs, and educators who exemplify Abu Dhabi’s inventive community will be invited to Future Today at Apple sessions held in the Forum at Apple Al Maryah Island. All classes are available for registration at apple.co/creativity-within.

In the dedicated Boardroom, Apple will also provide continuing personal advice and coaching for local businesses. Visitors can also listen to an exclusive and carefully produced Apple Music playlist including local United Arab Emirates artists to commemorate the grand launch.

More than 80 members of the new store’s multicultural staff represent 28 nationalities and speak a total of 30 languages, including Arabic, French, Hindi, Tagalog, and others. Customers may enjoy shopping assistance from highly experienced Specialists while they explore the latest products, learn more about Apple services like the Trade-In program, or receive professional guidance and support at the Genius Grove, which is located throughout the wide area.

Apple Al Maryah Island includes a number of unique design elements that are inspired by the island’s environment. Two Absolute Black granite stone ramps cut through the water from the promenade and continue smoothly inside the store, blurring the line between inside and out. This is the first time this material has been used inside an Apple Store.

A golden carbon-fiber roof was sourced locally in the UAE for the store. Visitors entering from The Galleria Al Maryah Island Mall will pass through a mirrored stainless steel portal, where they will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of water jets pouring over the external glass walls. With water cascading down the walls and reflections seen above, a 72-foot-long mirrored foil ceiling produces a kaleidoscopic scene.

Guests are welcomed with panoramic views of Abu Dhabi’s spectacular skyline once inside. Customers will also notice a stunning ceiling made of stretched gold fabric as they gaze up. Glass walls let in natural light, while ficus plants add to the interior’s greenery. The facility is kept cool thanks to an innovative radiant floor system and displacement ventilation.

On Friday, February 25, at 5 p.m. local time, the store will open its doors for the first time. Apple’s primary focus is the health and well-being of its customers and employees, thus the shop will take complete health measures, and trips to Apple Al Maryah Island will be by appointment only on opening day.
