Amazon Prime members have a new way to save, and this time it’s at the gas pump. In partnership with BP, Amazon is offering Prime members a 10-cent discount per gallon at BP, Amoco, and ampm stations across the U.S. The discount is easy to access—just link your Amazon Prime account with BP’s “Earnify” loyalty program using your phone number. This partnership makes fuel savings as straightforward as many of Amazon’s other perks.

The Prime gas discount adds to the growing list of benefits Amazon is rolling out, perhaps in response to similar incentives from other retailers like Walmart, which offers gas discounts at Exxon stations through its Walmart Plus membership. Such moves may be designed to counter rising subscription costs while keeping members engaged with new, tangible savings.
Moreover, Amazon has hinted at future expansions of this benefit. In 2025, they plan to extend savings to EV charging stations, aligning with a broader push to accommodate electric vehicles. This shift could position Amazon favorably among the increasing number of EV owners, particularly in urban areas where EV usage is on the rise.
As part of the deal, members will need to accept data collection terms when linking their accounts, which has raised some privacy concerns. However, the convenience of saving on gas and the allure of potential future perks might outweigh those worries for many Prime members, given the ever-increasing costs of fuel and other goods.
