If you’ve been on the hunt for the ultimate gaming computer, your search might just be over. Alienware has unleashed its latest masterpiece – the Aurora R16 desktop. Serving as an updated version of its flagship gaming computer, the Aurora R16 boasts a fresh and innovative design, setting itself apart from its predecessor, the Aurora R15, released less than a year ago.

One look at the Alienware Aurora R16, and you’ll immediately notice the departure from its iconic triangular shape, now embracing the sleek rectangular Legend 3 design. Interestingly, this design philosophy was first introduced with Alienware’s gaming laptops earlier in the year. The decision to implement this design into their desktop lineup signifies a seamless integration of aesthetics and functionality, bringing a unified feel to the gaming ecosystem.

Astonishingly, the Aurora R16 manages to shrink down by a remarkable 40 percent, all while retaining the same internal volume as its predecessor. This impressive feat ensures that upgradability is not compromised, enabling users to stay on top of their game as technology continues to advance. The new desktop also debuts the Alienware Command Center, a much-anticipated feature that further enhances the gaming experience.

But the improvements don’t stop there. The Alienware Aurora R16 sets a new standard for performance and efficiency. With 20 percent lower acoustics and seven percent lower temperatures compared to the Aurora R15, users can expect a quieter and cooler gaming experience even during intense gaming sessions. The desktop also boasts up to ten percent lower CPU temperatures, ensuring optimal performance even during extended use.

With gaming performance and longevity in mind, Alienware has introduced larger air intakes and exhausts, creating a 54.5 percent larger open ratio for enhanced airflow. This advanced cooling system not only ensures top-notch performance but also extends the lifespan of the hardware components, making the Aurora R16 a true gaming workhorse.

The Aurora R16 raises the bar when it comes to storage capacity. Equipped with two M.2 PCIe slots, users can enjoy up to a staggering 8TB of storage, perfect for housing massive game libraries, videos, and other multimedia content. Moreover, the desktop embraces cutting-edge technology by supporting Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, ensuring lightning-fast connectivity for online gaming and data transfer.

Now that you’re eager to get your hands on the Aurora R16, let’s talk about pricing. Alienware is offering this exceptional desktop starting at $1,750. Considering the premium gaming experience it promises, this price point is reasonable and justifiable for serious gamers who demand unparalleled performance.

To cater to the varied needs of gaming enthusiasts across different regions, Alienware offers different graphics card configurations. In the US and Canada, customers can choose between the RTX 4070 or the RTX 4070 Ti. Meanwhile, the European and Asian markets will have the option of the RTX 3050 and RTX 4080.

Configuration (US market)

  • 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700F/RTX 4070/16+1TB SSD — $1,750
  • 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700F/RTX 4070 Ti/16+1TB SSD — $1,950
  • 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900F/RTX 4070/32+2TB SSD — $2,050
