Airtel plans to cover entire urban India by 2023.
Customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi will be able to enjoy cutting-edge Airtel 5G Plus services in stages as the company builds its network and completes the rollout. Customers with 5G smartphones will be able to use the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus on their existing data plans until the rollout is more widespread, according to a statement from Bharti Airtel.
Customers will benefit from three features of Airtel 5G Plus. First, it is based on the most widely accepted technology in the world, with the most developed ecosystem. As a result, all 5G smartphones in India will work seamlessly on the Airtel network.

Finally, the Airtel 5G Plus network will be more environmentally friendly thanks to a special power reduction solution.
Commenting on the launch, Gopal Vittal, Managing Director & CEO of Bharti Airtel said, “Airtel has been at the forefront of India’s telecom revolution for the last 27 years. Today marks one more step in our journey as we build out the finest network to deliver the best experience for our customers.”
