If you have been waiting to upgrade your WordPress site’s infrastructure, the window of opportunity just opened wide. Jetpack has launched a substantial Black Friday sale for 2025, slashing prices by up to 70% on new annual plans. For bloggers, agency owners, and business creators who juggle the holy trinity of site management—security, performance, and marketing—this promotion represents one of the most aggressive pricing strategies we’ve seen from the Automattic-owned giant in recent memory.

The headline offer is straightforward but significant: a 70% discount on the first year of Jetpack’s bundled subscriptions and select standalone tools. This pricing applies specifically to new annual plans, meaning the barrier to entry for premium features like real-time backups and malware scanning has been lowered from “enterprise investment” to “casual expense.”

According to the promotion details, the sale highlights three core bundles that consolidate multiple services:

  • Security bundle ($5.97/mo, billed yearly): Normally, nearly $20/month, this is the package for the risk-averse. It includes VaultPress Backup (10GB storage), Jetpack Scan, and Akismet Anti-spam. At roughly $72 for the first year, it undercuts many standalone premium security plugins like Wordfence Premium or Solid Security Pro, which typically run upwards of $99–$199 per year.
  • Growth bundle ($5.97/mo, billed yearly): Also down from the ~$20/month tier, this package targets audience builders. It unlocks Jetpack Stats (commercial license with 10k views), Social automation tools, and integrated newsletter/monetization features.
  • Complete bundle ($14.97/mo, billed yearly): This is the flagship “everything” tier, dropping from nearly $50/month. It stacks the Security and Growth features together and adds performance tools like Boost and VideoPress. For high-traffic sites, the effective savings here are massive—roughly $420 off the standard annual bill.

A la carte: building your own stack

If you prefer a modular approach, Jetpack has applied the same 70% discount logic to individual tools, making it feasible to pick only what you need without bloating your dashboard.

  • Jetpack AI ($2.97/mo, normally $9.95/mo): Integrated directly into the WordPress block editor, this is a distinct alternative to copy-pasting from ChatGPT. It offers context-aware drafting and editing within your CMS.
  • VaultPress Backup ($2.97/mo, normally $9.95): Perhaps the standout value of the sale. For less than the price of a latte per month, you get real-time cloud backups and one-click restores.
  • VideoPress ($2.97/mo, normally $9.95): A solid alternative to YouTube embeds for creators who want an ad-free, unbranded player that keeps traffic on their own site.
  • Akismet Anti-spam ($2.97/mo, normally $9.95): The industry standard for comment moderation, now priced at a point where even hobbyist bloggers can justify the automation.

Note: Not everything is 70% off. Jetpack Search and Jetpack Stats (standalone) appear to be discounted by roughly 40%, and Jetpack CRM’s Entrepreneur plan is listed at a flat $17/month.

The “fine print” you need to know

While the sticker prices are attractive, veteran WordPress users know the devil is often in the details. Here is the context you need before clicking “Buy”:

1. The renewal cliff
These discounts apply to the first year only. This is standard industry practice for hosting and SaaS products, but it is critical to remember. If you grab the Complete Bundle for ~$180 this year, be prepared for it to renew at the standard rate (potentially $600+) next year unless you cancel or downgrade. Always budget for the long term.

2. Multisite limitations
If you run a WordPress Multisite network, proceed with caution. Jetpack explicitly states that VaultPress Backup, Jetpack Scan, and the Complete bundle are not currently compatible with Multisite networks. The ad network features are also limited to the main site.

3. “Clean, don’t cure”
Jetpack Scan is an excellent detection tool, monitoring your site 24/7. However, the company clarifies that while it can prevent attacks, it is designed to detect intruders rather than fully clean a site that was already compromised before you installed the plugin. If your site is currently hacked, you may need a dedicated remediation service or a clean backup restore first.

Is it worth it?

For independent publishers and small businesses already committed to the WordPress ecosystem, this is arguably the best time of year to buy into Jetpack.

Jetpack backs these annual plans with a 14-day money-back guarantee, providing a two-week window to test the impact on your site’s speed and workflow risk-free.
