Bethesda’s beloved adventure title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to receive a major visual overhaul next week. Bethesda is rolling out an update featuring NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 technologies—Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction—which promise to elevate both image quality and gameplay performance.

For fans of the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has always been about more than just the story—it’s been a visual journey through exotic locales, dark temples, and lush forests. Now, with DLSS 4 stepping into the spotlight, players can expect every shadow, reflection, and beam of light to be rendered with stunning precision. NVIDIA explains, “Using DLSS Ray Reconstruction, surface detail is improved, shadows are more precise, lighting is enhanced, and reflections more accurate. Even in darker scenes, temples, and forests, DLSS Ray Reconstruction adds an extra level of refinement to the image.”

So, what exactly is changing? At the heart of this update are two groundbreaking NVIDIA technologies:

  • DLSS Ray Reconstruction: This tool enhances traditional ray tracing by refining surface details and lighting. Gamers will notice that even in dimly lit environments, the textures and shadows appear more lifelike, contributing to a more immersive experience.
  • DLSS Multi Frame Generation: Aimed primarily at delivering smoother frame rates, this technology leverages NVIDIA’s latest transformer-based AI models. The result is not just a prettier picture, but also gameplay that feels silky smooth, especially on RTX 50-series GPUs.

These improvements come courtesy of NVIDIA’s latest Game Ready driver, version 572.42, which debuted alongside the news. The driver update doesn’t just power up Indiana Jones and the Great Circle; it also brings enhanced support for Obsidian’s new title, Avowed. While Avowed supports DLSS, Frame Generation, and Reflex out of the gate, native DLSS 4 isn’t available on day one—though enthusiasts can force it on via the NVIDIA app.

The integration of DLSS 4 isn’t just a technical upgrade—it’s a bridge between classic gaming narratives and modern graphical excellence. Bethesda’s commitment to updating Indiana Jones and the Great Circle underscores an industry trend where legacy titles receive significant graphical enhancements, breathing new life into old favorites. With fully ray-traced shadows now part of the equation, every frame is meticulously crafted to ensure that the magic of Indy’s adventures is experienced like never before.

Performance isn’t sacrificed at the altar of aesthetics. With DLSS Multi Frame Generation, smoother frame rates mean that players can expect fewer hitches during even the most intense action sequences. NVIDIA’s transformer AI models are at the core of this performance boost, ensuring that the gameplay remains as dynamic as the environments rendered in stunning detail. For RTX 50-series users, this upgrade is particularly significant, offering a taste of next-generation performance on current hardware.

NVIDIA’s driver update also addresses several bugs that have been plaguing gamers recently. From resolving crashes in Valorant on RTX 50-series systems to ironing out freezing issues in Final Fantasy XVI and performance hitches in Delta Force, the 572.42 update is a robust package.
