The Chuwi MiniBook X series has carved out a niche for itself in the realm of compact, portable computing, offering a blend of functionality and style in a form factor that’s both sleek and utilitarian. Known for its 2-in-1 convertible design with a 360-degree hinge, these mini-laptops are perfect for those who need a device that can transition seamlessly between laptop and tablet modes.

Recently, according to Liliputing, Chuwi is set to refresh this popular line with the launch of the third-generation MiniBook X N150, slated for release in the first quarter of 2025.

The star of the show in this new iteration is undoubtedly the processor upgrade. The MiniBook X N150 will be powered by the Intel N150 Twin Lake chip, stepping up from the Intel N100 Alder Lake-N processor found in its predecessor. This transition to the Twin Lake series promises slightly enhanced performance, with higher maximum CPU and GPU frequencies, though it’s worth noting that it still caters to the budget-conscious consumer looking for everyday computing capabilities without breaking the bank.

Memory and storage remain robust for a device of this size, with the MiniBook X N150 boasting 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD. This setup ensures that users can multitask efficiently, whether it’s browsing multiple tabs, running productivity software, or storing plenty of files without worrying about space.

Visually and functionally, the device retains the charm of its predecessors with a 10.51-inch display that renders images at a crisp 1920 x 1200 resolution. This high-definition touchscreen isn’t just for show; it’s an interactive canvas that supports pen input, making it ideal for note-taking, sketching, or simply navigating Windows 11 with a touch or swipe.

Connectivity is well-covered with two USB Type-C ports located on the right side, which support data transfer, video output, and can charge the device through USB Power Delivery 3.0. Additionally, there’s a traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio needs.

Battery life is another area where Chuwi has made incremental improvements. The MiniBook X N150 houses a 28.8 Wh battery, a slight upgrade from the previous model’s 26.65 Wh, which should translate into slightly longer usage times, especially beneficial for users on the go.

The build quality continues to impress with an aluminum alloy body that not only gives the device a premium feel but also contributes to its lightweight nature, tipping the scales at just about 2 pounds (920 grams). An active cooling system, including a fan and heat pipes, helps maintain performance by keeping the internals cool during intensive tasks.

The image provides an overview of the Chuwi MiniBook X N150, highlighting its key features and specifications. The central image shows the device in a 360-degree YOGA form, indicating its flexible hinge design. Surrounding this are various specifications: it features an Intel N150 processor, Intel Graphics, and runs on Windows 11. The device has a unibody design crafted from aluminum alloy material. It supports tablet mode, has a Full HD+ resolution of 1920x1200, 12GB LPDDR5 memory, 512GB SSD storage, a full-featured Type-C port, and supports PD 3.0 fast charging. The device is 11mm at its thinnest point and weighs 920g.

While exact pricing details for the Chuwi MiniBook X N150 have yet to be disclosed, expectations are that it will follow suit with its predecessors, offering a compelling price point for those looking to invest in a compact yet capable computing solution.
