Google is making it easier for small businesses to put its AI tools to work, introducing a dedicated business hub in the Gemini app alongside new features for branding, marketing, and financial analysis. The goal is to help entrepreneurs handle everyday business tasks without juggling multiple tools or spending hours on work that takes them away from running their companies.

Announced on October 20, 2026, the update brings business-focused capabilities into one place, giving small business owners a more organized way to use Gemini for everything from creating marketing materials to understanding financial records.

A central hub for everyday business tasks

The new Gemini business landing page is designed to bring several common small-business workflows together. Business owners can use it to develop their brand, analyze finances, understand customer insights, and manage other day-to-day tasks.

Google is also expanding Gemini’s connections with other services. Businesses can connect Google tools such as Google Business Profile, Google Ads, and Google Workspace, alongside third-party platforms including Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho, and Xero.

These integrations could be particularly useful for smaller companies that don’t have dedicated marketing, finance, or analytics teams. Rather than switching between separate services for every task, owners can use Gemini as a central place to work with information and create business materials.

The announcement doesn’t mean every business operation will automatically run through Gemini. Instead, the new hub brings AI assistance and connected tools into a more business-oriented experience.

Gemini can create visuals that match your brand

One of the more practical additions is the ability to establish a consistent visual identity within Gemini.

Business owners can upload their website, brand kit, fonts, and color palettes to define their preferred style. Gemini can then use that information to generate marketing assets that match the brand’s appearance, rather than requiring users to explain their visual preferences every time they create something new.

Google says the feature works with Nano Banana 2.1, its latest image-generation model at the time of the announcement. The combination is intended to help businesses produce cohesive visuals for product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns.

For a small company without an in-house designer, this could make it easier to prepare promotional graphics and other branded content. It may also reduce the repetitive work involved in keeping marketing materials visually consistent across different campaigns.

Turning financial records into clearer insights

The update also brings a more accessible approach to financial analysis. Gemini can work with spreadsheets, receipts, and purchase records to generate financial graphics and interactive models, helping business owners make sense of information that might otherwise require considerable manual effort.

Instead of interpreting rows of numbers on their own, users can ask Gemini to help present the information in a more understandable format.

This could be useful for reviewing expenses, spotting patterns in business records, or getting a clearer picture of financial performance. However, AI-generated analysis should still be checked against the original records, particularly when the results will inform accounting, tax, or other important financial decisions.

Rolling out globally

Google says the new business landing page, marketing and finance skills, and connected apps will begin rolling out globally in the coming days to all Gemini app users.

The announcement does not specify a separate price for the new business hub. Google also points larger organizations toward Gemini for business, which is designed for companies that need centralized administrative controls, advanced data governance, and enterprise-grade security.

The distinction matters because the new hub is aimed at making AI more useful for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs, rather than replacing the more extensive management and security requirements of larger organizations.

With this update, Google is positioning Gemini as more than a general-purpose chatbot. By combining brand-aware content creation, financial analysis, and connections to business software, the company is trying to make AI a more practical part of running a small company.

For entrepreneurs who already use Gemini, the new hub could provide a simpler starting point for those tasks. Its usefulness, however, will ultimately depend on how well the connected services work together and how reliably Gemini handles each business’s specific needs.
