Sony is bringing a fresh splash of color to its INZONE gaming audio lineup, introducing an orange Fnatic Edition of the INZONE H9 II wireless gaming headset and a transparent purple finish for the wired INZONE E9 in-ear headphones. Announced on October 6, 2026, the new variants give competitive gamers more distinctive designs without requiring them to move to different hardware.
The update also strengthens Sony’s visual identity for INZONE, its gaming brand developed around PC gaming and competitive esports. The new finishes build on the company’s collaboration with Fnatic, the professional esports organization that has worked with Sony on the H9 II and E9.
INZONE H9 II gets a striking Fnatic Edition
The Sony INZONE H9 II Fnatic Edition introduces an orange-and-black color scheme inspired by the esports team. It joins the existing Black and White versions, bringing the wireless gaming headset’s color lineup to three options.
The color refresh does not represent a new hardware generation. Sony continues to position the H9 II as its flagship wireless noise-cancelling gaming headset, combining its audio technology with input from Fnatic’s competitive players.
The headset uses 30mm carbon-composite drivers based on the driver technology in Sony’s WH-1000XM6 noise-cancelling headphones. It also offers active noise cancellation, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, and an equalizer preset optimized for first-person shooters, where hearing distant footsteps and other subtle in-game sounds can make a difference.
Comfort is another part of the package. Sony lists a lightweight design of approximately 260 grams, while the headset’s battery can last up to 30 hours under specified conditions: a 2.4GHz connection, noise cancellation switched off, and chat active.
For gamers who already like the H9 II’s features, the Fnatic Edition is primarily a design-focused alternative rather than a reason to expect improved audio performance over the standard colors.
INZONE E9 arrives in Glass Purple
The Sony INZONE E9 Glass Purple brings a different look to Sony’s wired in-ear gaming headphones. Its translucent purple finish draws on the INZONE brand’s visual identity and complements the existing INZONE Buds Glass Purple wireless earbuds, creating a more coordinated look across the lineup. The E9 remains available in Black and White, too.

Unlike the H9 II, the E9 is designed for players who prefer a compact, wired audio setup. Sony uses a fully enclosed housing and sealed body, paired with noise-isolating ear tips, to reduce outside noise without relying on active noise cancellation.
The low-profile design, flexible ear hooks and multiple sizes of hybrid ear tips are intended to keep the earbuds comfortable and secure during extended gaming sessions. Sony developed the E9 with Fnatic, with a particular focus on competitive first-person shooters and helping players concentrate on important audio cues.
The new Glass Purple edition therefore offers a visual update to an existing gaming audio product, rather than a separate model with newly announced acoustic features.
Price and availability
Sony’s US online store lists the INZONE E9 Glass Purple at $149.99, with a discounted price of $129.99 appearing on the product page at the time of checking. The standard INZONE H9 II has a listed US retail price of $349.99, although Sony has also displayed promotional pricing for the existing Black model.
However, Sony’s October 6 announcement does not specify US pricing or a release date for the new H9 II Fnatic Edition. The company’s regional listings and retailer pages should be checked for confirmed pricing and availability of each new color variant rather than assuming the original models’ prices will carry over unchanged.
The new color options give Sony’s INZONE range a more distinctive look, particularly for players who want their gaming accessories to match their wider setup. The H9 II Fnatic Edition leans into esports branding with its orange finish, while the E9 Glass Purple offers a translucent alternative for gamers who prefer wired in-ear headphones.
