Amazon is giving Prime members another reason to keep their wallets ready this fall. The company has officially announced that its Prime Big Deal Days shopping event will return October 6–7, 2026, bringing 48 hours of exclusive deals across more than 35 categories.
Starting at 12:01 am PDT on October 6, Prime members will be able to shop millions of deals covering everything from electronics and home products to fashion, beauty, toys, Halloween supplies, and early holiday gifts. The event ends at 11:59 pm PDT on October 7.
Amazon’s fall sale is back for 48 hours
Prime Big Deal Days is essentially Amazon’s fall counterpart to its summer Prime Day event. While Prime Day has expanded into a longer summer shopping event, Prime Big Deal Days remains a two-day event aimed at the fall and early holiday shopping season.
Amazon says shoppers can expect deals from major brands including Sony, adidas, Dyson, LEGO and others, with hundreds of thousands of deals advertised at 45% off or more. The company is also highlighting seasonal categories, including fall apparel, Halloween, game-day hosting, home décor and holiday gifting.
The timing is hardly accidental. With Halloween approaching and the holiday shopping season not far behind, Amazon is positioning Prime Big Deal Days as an opportunity to start buying gifts and seasonal products before the traditional holiday rush.
And yes, Amazon is already talking about Christmas.
The company’s Holiday Shop will feature curated gift collections and its annual Top 100+ Toys List, while Amazon says there will be more Amazon-exclusive products in the Holiday Shop this year.
New deals will arrive three times a day
One of the more interesting changes for shoppers this year is how Amazon plans to rotate deals during the event.
Its Today’s Big Deals will launch three times each day at midnight, 8 am, and 1 pm PDT. Those drops will include limited-time offers on newer products and brands, with Amazon specifically mentioning Shark, Princess Polly and Soundcore by Anker.
That means shoppers won’t necessarily see everything on October 6 and be done with it. Amazon is encouraging Prime members to check back throughout both days because deals will continue to change, and individual offers will remain available only while supplies last.
For tech shoppers, that could make the event particularly worth watching. Amazon says the rotating deals will include products across technology, kitchen, beauty, fashion and home categories, alongside new releases and trending products.
Amazon is bringing AI into the deal hunt
Amazon is also leaning more heavily into its shopping tools this year, including Alexa for Shopping.
Customers can set deal alerts for specific products or broader categories, such as asking Alexa to alert them when deals appear on espresso machines or sweaters. Shoppers can also set a target price for a specific product, with Alexa notifying them when the price falls to that level. Amazon even offers an Auto-Buy option that can automatically purchase an eligible item when its target price is reached.
There’s also a price-history feature that lets shoppers see up to 365 days of pricing information on hundreds of millions of products. That’s potentially useful during a massive sale, where a big-looking percentage discount doesn’t necessarily mean an item is at its lowest price.
Alexa can also check saved items for current deals and help shoppers track upcoming product releases.
In other words, Amazon isn’t just throwing millions of discounts onto the site and telling customers to hunt through them anymore. It’s increasingly trying to have its shopping tools do the hunting.
Early Prime Big Deal Days deals are already live
You don’t actually have to wait until October 6 to start shopping.
Amazon has already launched early Prime Big Deal Days offers covering its own devices, Kindle, Amazon Music, Amazon Haul and other products. Some current promotions include discounts of up to 45% on select Amazon devices and bundles, while select Blink bundles are discounted by up to 70%.
Amazon is also offering several unrelated promotions ahead of the event, including an Amazon Autos offer that provides a $1,500 Amazon Gift Card with the purchase or lease of an eligible new vehicle between September 15 and October 7, subject to the applicable terms.
There are also early offers for Kindle Unlimited, Audible, Amazon Music Unlimited, Amazon Haul and other services.
Who can shop Prime Big Deal Days?
As the name suggests, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership to access the event’s exclusive deals.
In the U.S., Amazon currently charges $14.99 per month or $139 per year for Prime, although eligible customers can use a 30-day free trial. Young adults ages 18–24 and higher-education students can also qualify for Prime for Young Adults, while eligible customers receiving qualifying government assistance can use Prime Access at a reduced price.
Prime Big Deal Days isn’t limited to the U.S., either. Amazon says the 2026 event will be available to Prime members in 22 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Brazil and others. The exact dates can vary by country.
For U.S. shoppers, though, the important dates are simple: October 6 and October 7.
So, if you’ve been eyeing a new laptop, headphones, TV, smart-home gadget, kitchen appliance—or just a suspiciously large pile of things you absolutely don’t need—Prime Big Deal Days is officially on the calendar.
And unlike Prime Day, you only have 48 hours to pretend you’re “saving money.”
