Samsung is making its latest Galaxy Book lineup more accessible with a new 14-inch Galaxy Book6, a Windows laptop designed to cover everyday computing needs without the higher price tag attached to Samsung’s premium models. The new Galaxy Book6 starts at $799 and brings Intel Core Series 3 and Core 5 processors, Galaxy AI features and up to 25 hours of battery life to the more affordable end of the lineup.

Samsung originally introduced the Galaxy Book6 family at CES 2026, with the lineup initially centered around models such as the Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro and Galaxy Book6. Those machines emphasized higher-end performance and AI-powered productivity. The new model gives Samsung another way to reach students, home users and professionals looking for a more straightforward everyday laptop.

The new Galaxy Book6 features a 14-inch WUXGA LCD display with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio and 350 nits of brightness. Samsung has also added an anti-reflective finish to reduce glare, making the screen better suited to working in different environments.

The laptop measures 313 x 221 x 15.7 mm and weighs 1.35kg, giving it a fairly portable footprint for a 14-inch Windows PC. Samsung is also introducing Violet Silver as a new color for the Galaxy Book family, alongside a more conventional Gray option.

Under the hood, configurations can be equipped with Intel Core 3 or Core 5 processors, paired with Intel integrated graphics and an Intel NPU capable of up to 15 TOPS. Memory options include 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while storage ranges from 256GB to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage, depending on the configuration and market.

The hardware is clearly aimed at everyday workloads rather than demanding workstation-class tasks. Samsung positions the Galaxy Book6 for activities such as web browsing, document creation, video calls, multitasking and streaming.

Battery life is one of the more notable features of the new Galaxy Book6. Samsung says the laptop can deliver up to 25 hours of battery life on a single charge, although actual runtime will vary depending on usage, network conditions and other factors.

The laptop packs a 61.2Wh battery and includes a 45W USB-C charger. Samsung says fast charging can restore approximately 33% of the battery in 30 minutes, giving users a quick way to add some extra runtime before heading back to work or class.

That combination of a relatively light 14-inch chassis and long claimed battery life makes portability a major part of the Galaxy Book6’s appeal.

Samsung is also carrying its Galaxy AI ecosystem into the new laptop. Features include AI Select, which lets users select content on the screen to access relevant information, along with AI Cut Out for removing backgrounds from images.

Note Assist is another Galaxy AI feature, allowing users to summarize notes and pull out important information from Samsung Notes. Samsung says the availability and functionality of some AI features can vary depending on the model, language and region, with certain features requiring a Samsung account and internet connection.

The Galaxy Book6 is also designed to work closely with other Galaxy devices. Quick Share makes it easier to transfer files, while Storage Share allows compatible Galaxy devices to access content stored across the ecosystem. Multi Control can let users control multiple supported Galaxy devices with a single keyboard and mouse, while Second Screen can turn a compatible Galaxy Tab into an additional display.

For Samsung phone owners, these connected features could be one of the bigger reasons to choose the Galaxy Book6 over a conventional Windows laptop.

Samsung has kept physical connectivity relatively generous for a thin laptop. The Galaxy Book6 includes two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, HDMI 1.4 with support for up to 4K at 30Hz, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack.

Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, while the laptop also includes a 2MP camera capable of 1080p video.

The built-in stereo speakers support Dolby Atmos, although Samsung uses a non-backlit Pro keyboard on the new model, another indication that the $799 configuration is focused more on practicality than premium extras.

At $799, the Galaxy Book6 gives Samsung a more accessible entry point into its 2026 laptop lineup while retaining several of the features that define the broader Galaxy Book family. The combination of a 14-inch display, 1.35kg weight, Intel processors, Galaxy AI, cross-device features and a claimed 25-hour battery life makes it a particularly practical option for users who value portability and ecosystem integration over high-end performance.

For Samsung Galaxy users, that ecosystem advantage may ultimately be the biggest selling point. Rather than simply being another midrange Windows laptop, the Galaxy Book6 is designed to act as a hub for the phones, tablets and other devices already sitting in a Galaxy user’s pocket or bag.
