LG is bringing a broad mix of smarter, more efficient and space-conscious home appliances to IFA 2026, with seven products that show where the company sees the connected home heading next.

The lineup, unveiled at LG’s IFA booth in Berlin, spans refrigerators, laundry machines, dishwashers, personal-care devices and kitchen ventilation. While the products cover very different parts of the home, they share a few themes: AI-powered features, lower energy consumption and designs intended to make better use of increasingly limited living space.

That focus is particularly visible in LG’s European-oriented Fit & Max range, which the company is expanding beyond refrigerators into washing machines, dryers and dishwashers. The broader idea is straightforward: appliances should fit into the home more easily while still delivering the capacity and performance consumers expect.

Here’s a closer look at the seven appliances LG is highlighting at IFA 2026.

LG SIGNATURE refrigerator brings conversational AI to the kitchen

The next-generation LG SIGNATURE refrigerator is perhaps the clearest example of LG’s push to put AI directly into everyday appliances.

The refrigerator uses large language model-based voice recognition to support more natural conversations with the appliance. LG says users can interact with it using voice and receive guidance on tasks such as how to store ingredients properly.

A new 6.8-inch LCD display is built into the refrigerator, while LG’s AI Fresh technology monitors temperature changes based on usage patterns. It can also pre-cool the refrigerator for up to two hours before an expected door opening, helping maintain stable temperatures when the company anticipates that the door will be opened.

It fits into LG’s wider AI Home strategy, where appliances increasingly use contextual information and user routines rather than simply responding to individual commands.

The Fit & Max washer aims for major energy savings

LG’s new Fit & Max washer and dryer combination puts energy efficiency front and center.

The new washing machine is scheduled to launch in Europe this year and, according to LG, can use up to 70 percent less energy than the minimum requirement for an A-grade rating under European standards. The accompanying dryer achieves an A-grade rating under the latest energy standards.

The pair uses LG’s Direct Drive Motor and Dual Inverter Heat Pump technology, while AI Wash and AI Dry can detect fabric types and adjust cycles accordingly.

LG also points to the durability of its Direct Drive technology, saying the motor has been independently certified by TÜV Rheinland for up to 30 years of operation.

The energy push is part of a broader effort from LG to bring high-efficiency technology beyond its most expensive appliances and into a wider portion of its lineup.

A 25-inch WashTower targets European homes

LG is also expanding its WashTower lineup with a new 25-inch model designed specifically with European homes in mind.

The single-body washer-dryer sits between LG’s existing 24-inch and 27-inch versions, giving consumers another option for tighter spaces and different furniture configurations. Both the washer and dryer use LG’s Inverter Direct Drive technology.

The new model builds on a WashTower family that LG says has surpassed 3.2 million units in global sales.

For consumers who want a full laundry setup without dedicating quite as much space to two separate machines, the new size could be one of the more practical additions in LG’s IFA lineup.

The Fit & Max French-door refrigerator is built to sit flush

LG is also showing a new Fit & Max French-door refrigerator that takes a different approach to the usual problem of fitting a large refrigerator into a modern kitchen.

Its Zero Clearance design is intended to allow the refrigerator to sit flush alongside cabinetry, making the appliance easier to integrate into space-conscious kitchens. It also gets the same 6.8-inch LCD display found on the new SIGNATURE refrigerator.

Inside, a Full Convert Drawer can be switched between refrigeration and freezing, while Dual FRESHConverter+ provides independently controlled compartments with different temperature modes for different types of food.

The refrigerator has also received recognition from both the 2026 iF Design Awards and Red Dot Design Awards.

The new Fit & Max dishwasher promises a one-hour wash and dry

Dishwashers are getting some AI treatment too.

LG’s new Fit & Max dishwasher combines a built-in design with a 1-Hour Wash & Dry cycle aimed at reducing the time between loading dirty dishes and having them ready to use again.

The machine uses QuadWash Pro with micro-bubbles designed to help detergent penetrate food residue. Its Hybrid Air Dry system improves air circulation to speed up drying while reducing energy consumption.

AI SenseClean uses a digital turbidity sensor to determine how dirty the dishes are and automatically adjusts factors such as water temperature, cycle duration and detergent usage.

LG says key models across the new lineup, covering both premium and volume segments, achieve an A-grade energy rating.

LG enters the hair dryer market with AirDew

Not every product in LG’s IFA lineup belongs in the kitchen or laundry room.

The new LG AirDew is the company’s first hair dryer and is designed around faster drying while attempting to reduce heat exposure to hair.

Its patented Triple Airfluidics technology produces high-velocity, multidimensional airflow. LG has also incorporated temperature control and an AirGlide brush effect intended to retain moisture, limit heat exposure and smooth hair during styling.

The dryer has a lightweight ergonomic design that LG says is comparable in weight to a cup of coffee. It also features a Rotating Plug, magnetic nozzles for easier attachment and several storage options, including a cradle and a combination storage case.

It’s an interesting expansion for LG, taking the company’s appliance expertise into a category where design, convenience and personal care matter just as much as raw performance.

A new SIGNATURE downdraft hood hides ventilation in the countertop

LG’s seventh IFA highlight is a next-generation SIGNATURE downdraft hood designed to keep kitchen ventilation relatively unobtrusive.

Instead of relying on a conventional overhead hood, the system captures smoke and odors directly at the cooking surface. LG says optimized airflow and motor control are designed to provide effective extraction while keeping operation quiet.

A built-in motion sensor allows users to control extraction power without touching the appliance, while the minimalist front-glass design helps it blend into open-plan kitchens.

That combination of discreet ventilation and touch-free controls makes sense for modern kitchens where large overhead appliances can interrupt an otherwise clean design.

LG’s bigger IFA 2026 strategy is about the AI-powered home

Taken individually, LG’s seven appliances cover a fairly conventional list of household categories. Taken together, however, they reveal a much broader strategy.

LG is increasingly treating AI, energy efficiency and space optimization as features that should run through its entire home appliance portfolio rather than being limited to one or two flagship products. Its IFA 2026 presentation builds on the company’s wider AI Home push, which connects appliances, services and contextual intelligence around everyday routines.

The interesting part is that not every improvement requires a flashy AI feature. The 25-inch WashTower is essentially about finding a better size for European homes. The French-door refrigerator focuses on fitting flush with cabinetry. The dishwasher targets faster everyday cycles, while the washer aims to dramatically reduce energy consumption.

That makes LG’s IFA 2026 lineup less about one headline gadget and more about gradually making ordinary appliances smarter, more efficient and easier to live with.

IFA 2026 runs from September 4 through September 8 in Berlin, where LG is showcasing these products alongside its broader AI Home ecosystem.
