There’s a specific moment at every good gathering where the vibe shifts. It’s when people stop just standing around with their drinks and start really leaning into the music. LG seems hyper-aware of that exact transition, and their newly announced LG xboom Power Series is built entirely around making it happen faster and louder.
Announced today, the xboom Power Series isn’t just a regular set of Bluetooth speakers. It’s a flagship lineup of absolute behemoths designed to take over everything from a casual backyard barbecue to a full-blown neighborhood block party. And to make sure the audio quality matches the raw volume, LG has once again tapped into the expertise of Grammy Award-winning producer will.i.am to tune their xboom Signature Sound. It’s a continuation of a creative partnership that started making waves last year with the release of the Stage301, bringing a professional, studio-level ear to consumer party gear. It also rounds out a very busy month for LG’s audio division, following closely on the heels of their rugged, outdoor-focused xboom Blast speaker that launched just last week.
The new Power lineup comes in three distinct flavors, scaled for whatever kind of chaos you’re planning. At the top of the food chain is the LG xboom Power 9000, a massive unit pumping out 440 watts of continuous power. This is the one you bring out when you have a large outdoor space and you want the bass to be felt just as much as it’s heard. If you don’t quite need concert-level volume but still want to dominate a large patio, the Power 7000 steps in with a very respectable 340 watts. Finally, for more intimate family gatherings or casual indoor celebrations, there’s the Power 5000, which still manages to pack 260 watts into a slightly more manageable footprint.
But raw wattage isn’t what makes these speakers interesting; it’s what they do with the music once it’s playing. LG is leaning heavily into the idea that a great party is interactive. Instead of just letting a playlist run in the background, the xboom Power Series wants you and your guests to be part of the performance.
This brings us to the standout feature: the AI Karaoke Master. Historically, setting up karaoke at a house party required dedicated tracks, messy YouTube searches, or a separate machine altogether. LG is bypassing all of that by using AI to instantly convert the songs already sitting in your music library into karaoke tracks. The AI Vocal Remover smartly strips the original vocals from the mix, clearing the stage for whoever is brave enough to grab one of the dual microphone inputs. There’s also a Key Changer feature that adjusts the song’s pitch to better match your vocal range—a brilliant addition for those of us who can’t naturally hit the high notes but still want to belt out a classic. They’ve even integrated a Smart Stand directly onto the speaker, giving you a perfect spot to rest a tablet or phone to read the lyrics.
Because these are modern party speakers, they are absolutely loaded with environmental tech. The AI Sound feature constantly analyzes whatever genre is playing to tweak the EQ on the fly, while Space Calibration Pro actually listens to the size and layout of the room (or backyard) to optimize the audio output for that specific environment. It’s the kind of smart engineering that means you don’t have to endlessly fiddle with settings once the party starts.
If one massive speaker somehow isn’t enough, LG has also included Auracast support. This Bluetooth broadcasting technology allows you to link multiple compatible speakers together across the xboom family, creating a massive, synchronized sound system that can wrap around an entire property. Throw in the mandatory DJ Performance Effects and customizable Multicolor AI Lighting, and you essentially have a festival-in-a-box.
The party speaker market has become incredibly competitive lately, with heavyweights continuously pushing the boundaries of what portable audio can do. But by combining raw power with genuinely useful AI features—especially that frictionless karaoke setup—LG is making a very strong case for the xboom Power Series. As Lee Jeong-seok, head of the Audio Business Division at LG, pointed out in today’s announcement, the best parties are the ones where people participate, not just listen. With this new lineup, LG is giving everyone a very loud reason to grab the mic.
The LG xboom Power Series starts rolling out in select markets today, August 17, 2026, though pricing and specific availability will vary depending on where you live.
