Apple has once again raised the bar for laptop performance and design with the unveiling of the new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro. Equipped with the revolutionary new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, these laptops are designed to deliver game-changing performance and the longest battery life ever seen in a Mac.

The M2 Pro and M2 Max chips are the world’s most powerful and efficient processors for a pro laptop, allowing the MacBook Pro to tackle even the most demanding tasks with ease. Effects rendering, for example, is up to 6x faster on the new MacBook Pro than on the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro, and color grading is up to 2x faster. This is thanks to the unprecedented power efficiency of Apple silicon, which allows for a battery life of up to 22 hours on the new MacBook Pro.

In addition to its powerful performance, the new MacBook Pro also boasts advanced connectivity options. It supports Wi-Fi 6E, which is up to twice as fast as the previous generation, as well as advanced HDMI that supports 8K, displays for the first time. With up to 96GB of unified memory in the M2 Max model, creators can work on scenes that even PC laptops can’t handle.

The new MacBook Pro also features a renowned Liquid Retina XDR display, an extensive array of connectivity, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker sound system, and studio-quality mics. Together with macOS Ventura, the MacBook Pro user experience is truly unrivaled.

The new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max is a game-changer for professionals across a wide range of disciplines. From artists and scientists to app developers, the new MacBook Pro is designed to transform workflows and boost productivity like never before.

The M2 Pro features a 10- or 12-core CPU with up to eight high-performance and four high-efficiency cores, delivering up to 20 percent greater performance over the M1 Pro. With 200GB/s of unified memory bandwidth – double the amount in M2 – and up to 32GB of unified memory, users can tackle large projects and run multiple pro apps with lightning speed. The next-generation GPU with up to 19 cores offers up to 30 percent more graphics performance, and the Neural Engine is 40 percent faster, speeding up machine learning tasks such as video analysis and image processing. The powerful media engine in M2 Pro also tears through the most popular video codecs, dramatically accelerating video playback and encoding while using very little power.

The M2 Pro on MacBook Pro is a powerhouse that makes it possible to tackle demanding tasks with ease. Rendering titles and animations in Motion is up to 80 percent faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro and up to 20 percent faster than the previous generation. Compiling in Xcode is up to 2.5x faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro and nearly 25 percent faster than the previous generation. Image processing in Adobe Photoshop is up to 80 percent faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro and up to 40 percent faster than the previous generation.

The new MacBook Pro also maintains performance whether users are plugged in or on battery, thanks to the exceptional power efficiency of Apple silicon. With the new M2 Pro, MacBook Pro is the ultimate tool for professionals, power users and creators who demand the best performance and efficiency from their laptops.

The new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Max takes workflows to the extreme, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with a laptop. The M2 Max features a massive GPU with up to 38 cores, delivering up to 30 percent greater graphics performance than the M1 Max. With 400GB/s of unified memory bandwidth – twice that of M2 Pro – and up to 96GB of unified memory, the MacBook Pro is once again at the forefront of graphics memory in a laptop, enabling intensive graphics workloads such as creating scenes with extreme 3D geometry and textures or merging massive photographic panoramas.

The M2 Max also features a next-gen 12-core CPU with up to eight high-performance and four high-efficiency cores that deliver up to 20 percent greater performance over M1 Max. A more powerful media engine than M2 Pro, with twice the ProRes acceleration, dramatically speeds up media playback and transcoding.

With M2 Max on MacBook Pro, effects rendering in Cinema 4D is up to 6x faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro and up to 30 percent faster than the previous generation. Color grading in DaVinci Resolve is up to 2x faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro and up to 30 percent faster than the previous generation.

The M2 Max is a game changer for professionals whose workflows demand the highest levels of performance and graphics capability. With the new M2 Max, MacBook Pro is the ultimate tool for power users, creators, and professionals who require the most demanding performance and capabilities.

The new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro not only boasts revolutionary performance and battery life with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips but also offers advanced connectivity options to support even more demanding workflows.
