Xiaomi has just announced two new additions to its smart air fryer lineup – the Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 5.5L and the Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 4.5L. These new models have been listed on the company’s global website, but details on their exact release date and pricing are yet to be revealed.

Both the 5.5L and 4.5L models fall into the upper mid-range category in terms of size. This means they offer a good balance between capacity and countertop footprint, making them ideal for families or those who like to cook in larger batches.

These air fryers utilize hot air circulation to achieve a deep-frying effect, minus the excessive oil. They boast an impressive temperature range, allowing you to precisely cook your food. The larger 5.5L model offers a range of 40°C to 220°C, while the 4.5L model goes up to 200°C.

While perfectly crispy fries are a given, these air fryers are capable of much more. They can be used to:

  • Defrost food — Quickly and safely thaw frozen items for immediate cooking.
  • Dry fruit and meat — Create healthy homemade snacks or jerky.
  • Prepare yogurt — Make your own delicious and nutritious yogurt at home.

The 4.5L model goes a step further by offering baking and grilling functionalities, making it even more versatile in the kitchen. However, it’s important to note that this model lacks a viewing window, which some users might find inconvenient.

Both air fryers come equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to control them through the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. This app unlocks a range of benefits, including:

  • Access to a wider recipe library — Discover new and exciting air fryer recipes to expand your culinary repertoire.
  • Voice control with Google Assistant — Enjoy hands-free operation by using voice commands to control your air fryer.
  • Schedule cooking times — Program your air fryer to start cooking at a specific time, ensuring your meal is ready when you are.

For those who prefer a more traditional approach, both models also feature a round control unit on the appliance itself for manual operation.

The combination of larger capacities, precise temperature control, and smart features make the Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 5.5L and 4.5L attractive options for anyone looking to cook healthier and more conveniently. Stay tuned for further updates on their official release date and pricing.
